Contingency plans for Steelers-Cowboys HOF game

Alternatives for the Pittsburgh Steelers versus Dallas Cowboys Hall of Fame game, as well as the enshrinement ceremony, are being considered.

David Baker, executive director of the Hall of Fame, told USA TODAY Sports that there are contingency plans under consideration for the annual preseason kickoff game (Aug. 6) and the enshrinement ceremony (Aug. 8).

“We’re not going to do anything that’s not safe,” Baker told USA Today Sports. “But I do hope that we can lead in showing that this can be done in a way that will inspire us.”

One of the possibilities is to postpone the game and ceremony to later in August if the NFL shortens the preseason.

Play it with fans with masks on in the stands. And / Or sit them 2 seats in between groups. Say a group of 6 comes in, and a group of 4. The groups sit together and then 2 empty seats, then the next group.

One year they canceled the hall of fame game over a bad paint job on the field. I don't think it would be that big of a deal to cancel it this year as well out of safety for all involved. Maybe delay the enshrinement until later.

Or, groovy feline, do it like professional wrestling and line the sidelines, 6feet apart, with hyper up fans/cheerleaders.
Do you suppose one can get that gig? Based on me charming manner?

Fans must self quarantine in their cars while parked in the lot for 5 straight days before being tested then more waiting in their vehicles. on game day they'll do a temp check.

I don't see how postponing the game really resolves anything unless they're postponing it for a year...
