- Loves him as a man didn't like him as a coach because he went to Princeton and always thought he was the smartest man in the room. He didn't allow for others to add input and creativity. Garrett was like "I'm the chef don't touch my pot." Everything with him was so bland and mundane. He never got off of that because that's who he was as a coach.
- Jason never evolved as a coach and as a play caller.
Garrett sold himself to Jerry as Boy Genius, and since it wasn't true, he had to fight any threat to that status from people showing that maybe Garrett wasn't right about everything.

Similarly, to evolve is to admit that once upon a time you weren't right. It also requires you to risk doing something new and making a mistake.

Garrett would always double down on his stupid after it lost games instead of admitting that *maybe* he should have done something else. When asked about leaving time for Rodgers' comeback in the playoffs, he said "you have to worry about scoring first". Just completely incompetent. The HC's job is to worry about winning the game, not just making the next score.

Ooooooohh......oooohhhhh Jesse Holley. Won a reality tv show to get the 80th spot and a rookie contract with the Cowboys. Wasn't all surprising with TO gone and Irvin's backing.

And what an amazing career! Two years, 7 receptions, 169 yds, 0 TDs. Two punt returns for 17 yds.

He had more dirt on Garrett, than TDs! He had more dirt on Garrett than the law allows and was dropped after an illustrious two year career. Sounds like someone who would say anything to get a spotlight.
It is sort of weird timing about this.

Didnt he also get dumped from Dallas Cowboys Hour Show.

Him and Kristy What's Her Name?

Sour grapes for sure.

Hey..that 15 seconds of Fame as they say lasted a bit longer for him.

Meh..

I take a grain of salt on all this.

I suspected the players were not giving it their all at times.

One week uber and the next flatline.

I really think at some point if you think the leadership suspect..

You just talk amongst yourselves and take it into your collective hands and see it thru.

To blame Garrett as a weak coach and therefore failure ensues..poppycock.

We all know Jerrah interfered repeatedly causing failure after failure.

This team including last year, did not have the guts to beat good teams. They went thru the motions for years under Garrett.

Never would have happened with Jimmy or Parcells.

Just my belief.

Guess you know more than an NFL football player bro.. HA

None of this is new from Holley. He’s made these same points, my times. Put him with TO and the handful of other guys who didn’t like Jason. Ten years, 53 guys per year. The fact that you only hear complaints from cancers and fringe roster players is pretty telling.
The cowboys arent the only team with cancers. Where are other good coaches getting thrown under the bus by multiple (cancers)? Why just the coward clapper

The typical excuse.

Eh. It's those people. The ones he could not reach with his Landry-esque qualities.

They will find out soon about the genius that is Jason Garrett. Which explains why he is a plotting back-stabber in New York versus a head coach some place else.

It’s typical, because it’s what I type every time Holley does this. And he’s done it dozens of times in his bid to stay relevant. That doesn’t change the fact that the vast majority of Garrett’s players always supported him.

Scandrick who goes after everyone said he had nothing bad to say about Garrett and that’s surprising given how long he knew him and that the defense never was able to perform. Surprised he didn’t blame Garrett for not wanting to invest in better personnel or more aggressive schemes

I was surprised by that, too, honestly. Scandrick’s a grumpy dude in general and I thought he might be disgruntled.

Kavon Frazier was another guy this offseason who gave Garrett some serious props that I didn’t expect. Just because he was a defender and not all that prominent a player.

And then there were Dak’s comments giving Garrett credit for his development that I purposely didn’t quote when they happened because I wanted to see if anybody else was interested in being fair on this topic. Spoiler: they weren’t.

The Eagles? The Niners? Yeah, the TO experience was the same everywhere.

Holley isn’t a cancer, for the record. He’s just making hay repeating his same old Garrett stories. Clearly, he wasn’t a fan. It happens.

funny how you listen to someone like Jesse, yet Aikman who's more of a fixture is telling you different along with other players. . lol
funny how you think Aikman a Gen-X will have a better feel for a bunch of millennial players in a locker room far away from his career in the booth:lmao2:

bruh this is not the 20th Century. Jesse Holley is more likely to get the current team (ps if you listen you know Jesse Holley is a Pro Athlete who talks to Cowboys Rookies after every draft for past couple of years) players pulse.

Troy was Garretts guy. Do you expect any player to tell Troy that Garrett had zero Jimmy Johnson fear...............by all accounts Witten was not a leader last year. He was appointed by Garrett but players had zero respect.....he left and came back average

You know

i had just 1 issue with Garrett and that was his overall feel for how a game was going

it often times look he didnt really know what was going on like situational awareness just wasnt there

Its like when you have a team on the ropes you go for the jugular and he didnt among other things

I do not need the cretin holley to tell me Garrett was a sorry excuse for a hc. His lack of creativity, inability to adjust, total lack of defensive knowledge and poor game management were evident to all but the blind and jerry.

Holley got kicked out of 105.3. When a local radio station fires a former NFL player, he’s a cancer.

“So many guys” haven’t. It’s a really short list given how long he was here. Whereas the list of guys who say good things is pretty long.
