Gallop is still out deep threat guy. And no matter how talented a rookie is they all hit a wall esp at skill positions. Talking heads may forget him but defensive coordinators will not. They will likely test lamb and see if he can be defended 1 on 1 but it'd be dumb to let Gallop go off on you given we know he can hit 1k yards easily as a #2 with not much behind him on the depth chart.

I compared Gallup to Robert Woods when we drafted him. I don't think he's a lock for 1k every year, I do however think he's a guy who can get you 700-800 yards and 4-6 TDs consistently and you don't just forget about these guys. They have a place in this league.

sorry if i came across strong. I still don't see how it can be called a mistake though. They had to make a choice on Amari. Are you saying they could have waited til after the draft to make that decision? ok, maybe so.

I think they could have waited until after the draft. I also think the Tag could have been used on Amati. You are right that they could be going for it and offensively it should be all systems go. They are stacked there.

So far Gallup and Cooper have been solid Stat compilers whose careers are more talked about in terms of plays not made and why were they not in the game in big moments rather than game winning catches .

We need a guy with the play making ability in the clutch like our old 88s excluding Footsteps Bryant I hope Lamb is the guy . I love Gallup but he doesn't have the clutch hands .

Yeah..

He dropped a few at bad times.

But he also made some nice catches in the endzone corners and tiptoed the sidelines repeatedly.

You can't win them all.

I think he's outstanding.

Never seen us with a #2 over a 1000 yds.

Keeper.

I'm hoping Gallup's upside continues to come into play as well as it has to this point in his career. He needs to eliminate the drops that hampered his effectiveness a bit too frequently last year. Hopefully, his concentration won't betray him quite as often, either. He should be ready to refine his game to a point where he's ready to command attention equal to the others. With Cee Dee around, if Gallup can't improve, he'll see fewer targets. I wish him well.
Should be an interesting competition to be Dak's Pet Cat.

This guy had a great year.

Despite all the gloom that was 2019, he shined.

3rd year may set this guy on fire.

Enjoy.

What gloom?

It was the best year in 14 years. Garrett finally got fired and Dak proved that he was more than just a bus driver.

Gallup has proven himself in the league. CeeDee Lamb has not. I'll wait until i see if Lamb can perform at the next level.

I can tell already that Lamb is the real deal. He will be our #1 receiver if not later this year, then next year.

The Amari Cooper contract was unnecessary. He should have been tagged. Imagine if they did that - Lamb falls in their lap and Cooper because expendable after this season. Could have bridged Gallup and saved significant money. These are the FO mistakes that hold this organization back.

The deal they signed Amari to is pretty fantastic. They can walk away at any point after the next two years with zero penalty. It basically functions as a two yr tag with more flexibility and none of the stigma.

Some folks don't realize just how good he was last year, especially for a second year WR with room to grow.

2019, Receiving Yards per Game

1. Michael Thomas. 107.8
2. Chris Godwin. 95.2
3. Julio Jones. 92.9
4. Mike Evans. 89
5. Davonte Adams. 83.1
6. Michael Gallup. 79.1
7. DJ Moore. 78.3
8. DeAndre Hopkins. 77.7
9. Travis Kelce. 76.8
10. Robert Woods. 75.6
Good post. Who knows where Gallup would've been if he hadn't got injured, and also took him a game or two before he was confident about his knee again.

Your exactly correct, and why I keep looking at Pollard being used as more of a WR in the slot, 4th receiver in a lot of games.
I watched some Pollard highlights a few days ago and I'm telling you when they motion him out into an empty set that's so dangerous...he scored on a simple crossing out.

No way Gallup is forgotten, he's proven he can ball in the regular season and even the playoffs as a rookie. Doesn't matter about CeeDee Lamb if #13 is single covered it's a wrap (evidence last year) nothings changing.

I would only hope so! I'd like to see the WR targeting get spread around. It's a sure way to enhance our offensive firepower.
I wait like all of us.

Again Jerrah has set the tone for the season.

With Lamb on board..we are throwing the ball to win.

With all the investment in the Draft where we all thought defense would prevail..

up pops Lamb and the center Badass from Wisconsin.

Two incredibly LUCKY picks for us at positions of need having lost Beard and Cobb and Witten.

Big Mike has really landed in a big fat bowl of cream.

Time to lick himself off and go to work.
