“So many guys” haven’t. It’s a really short list given how long he was here. Whereas the list of guys who say good things is pretty long.

I thought players always tell the truth?

:muttley:

Garrett was and is trash and people like you who couldn’t see that when even an idiot like Jerry could tells us all about your football acumen

Some of you guys are insufferable! I posted it because it was damn interesting and it echoed what 98% of us have been saying about Garrett!

I like most of you was beyond frustrated even looking at Garrett so forgive me if I'm still on cloud nine now that he is no longer here and with the vagiants...

Man I have never seen someone get so much mileage out of the same rant.

He has been telling these same stories for like 6 years on the fan. Well not anymore on the fan.

He should start a fanclub for people who hate Jason Garrett.

He should also start one for the worst celebration ever...you know five yards to soon and not scoring on an easy td.

I watched this video last night that LawNation posted and wanted to share it.. I know most of us are over talking about the freckled puppet but this video is a MUST SEE and has inside info that validates everything. (WATCH THE FIRST 30 MIN's)
Jesse Holley goes on to talk about Garrett's insecurities and how he pushed the narrative to fault of being the smartest guy in the room. In fact, he also said that the most NFL players are alpha males and see through someone whom is fake and this is why the team didn't sell out to win week after week. He believes that the players just didn't buy Jason Garrett as an authenticate leader of men. Basically, they all knew he was phony as a coach and this is why they ultimately failed under his tenure.

So much great stuff here to see and unfiltered! One of the best interviews I've seen.

I have to agree with Holley. I've long said that Garrett never learned from his mistakes because he didn't think he made any. Ever. If something went wrong, it was someone else's fault. Goes along with him thinking he's "the smartest guy in the room".

I’m not sure what I might have said before that you think you’re referencing. Is it maybe me saying when other players talk about their teammates improving that I pay special attention to it? It sounds like it, but that’s so different from an ex-player turned media wannabe trying to make hay-again-by throwing his former coach under the bus that I can’t imagine even you confusing those two things so badly. Care to elaborate? But, don’t bother if you’re just going to say something stupid.

Ooooooohh......oooohhhhh Jesse Holley. Won a reality tv show to get the 80th spot and a rookie contract with the Cowboys. Wasn't all surprising with TO gone and Irvin's backing.

And what an amazing career! Two years, 7 receptions, 169 yds, 0 TDs. Two punt returns for 17 yds.

He had more dirt on Garrett, than TDs! He had more dirt on Garrett than the law allows and was dropped after an illustrious two year career. Sounds like someone who would say anything to get a spotlight.

Lmao. You are talking down on someone who stepped on an NFL field and actually played. He played football and basketball at a D1 school. A message board dweeb who voices his opinion that we should all care about but yet talks down on someone who has been an actual athlete all his life, not an armchair QB. Y'all act like there was zero work involved actually getting a chance to play in the NFL. Do y'all even think before y'all type this garbage? He's actually been in the locker room with the clown carrott top coach. He's also been around the Patriots organization. He is 1000x more credible than you are. He has been spot on on most of his takes.

JG probably WAS the smartest guy in the room.
JG has a degree from Princeton and has 2 Super Bowl rings.
Holley "attended" North Carolina and throws shade on the successful.

I don't think Garrett was or is smart at all actually. One can graduate from colleges when they have family ties, and all you need to to is prep for tests by answering questions that have the answers to study for in the books. Garrett could not adjust to much of anything game wise and in pressers he could not actually articulate anything past canned phrases and replies it was like watching rainman. He was a good QB at Princeton, and a good backup in Dallas back in the day but as a head coach, or possibly any positional coach was a failure -- here anyway. Remember this. He Ninja'ed Wade's job like a scoundrel and Jerry Jones the owner of the Dallas Cowboys was his enabler. Adding to that he was enabled for many years and just like there was no actual football positional competition for QB or any other position ~ there was ZERO competition at the head coach position.

Jason Garrett was the best head coach that the Dallas Cowboys could hire. Think about that for a minute.

Which players will refute what Jesse Holley is saying? Please be specific. I don't play these generality games. It's really a stupid way to have a conversation.

Now, if you listen to the interview at 2:00:00 mark you'll hear Jesse tell a story of how Romo changed a vanilla Garrett play against 49ers in 2011 game..Tony changed play in huddle and told Jesse to run a Zpoker at audible. Miles Austin is the usual Z. He's out with hamstring. Holley makes winning play with perfect bomb from Romo.
How this story isn't precient and more informative than Troy or "one of the leaders" like Witten beats me....

Anyway enjoy your VHS .

lol...first he says the players didn't buy in or respect, that's bs, because Lee, Ware,Heath,Witten,Jordan Lewis, all say different. 2. as for changing plays, that's exactly what a damn qb is suppose to do, They come to the line read defense and change a play or make adjustments according to what the defense shows him. shows how little Jesse knows about football with such a ridiculous take,You know who else talked about a player changing plays Sean Payton, Brees does all the time, you know who else talked about changing plays. Manning and Brady talked about this very thing on one of the Peyton' s place shows.

I have several friends that stepped on the field for a hot minute, and 1of them played for the cowboys and when Jesse made the team from the reality show, which some believe was another Jones publicity stunt.

The first time Jason walked off the field with time on the clock and TOs in his pocket.

Second, every time we had extended time off and more time to prepare, we just came out of the gate FLAT.

both unacceptable for a High School level coach.

I bought into Hoss's hype and gave Red the benefit of the doubt. Hoss is a great guy who I respect, but he was flat wrong about this guy.

When is this board going to get over Jason Garrett?
At this point anything but a DAK thread is wonderful, TC will be here soon.

That said, this clown imposter of a HC has now gone on to a rival team, so it's open season.until eternity.

That was a great skit, thanks for sharing. Jesse really has come into his own at this gig and he speaks seemingly how most people feel on this board.
