We’ve field some solid teams with Dak in his 1st 4 years while his contract gave us a huge advantage.

1 playoff win to show for it.

Amen, brother. And it is squarely on Jerry for wasting years with Garrett the Fraud. Coaching killed talent here for many years.

Your blueprint is to move on from a QB after their rookie contract if they don’t win a SB.

Unless they are great, yes.

If Peyton Manning Or Andrew Luck is my QB and he hasn’t won a Title during his 1st 4 years I’ll give him a pass.

If I keep the pass protection optimal and the weapons optimal on offense then I can replace a guy like Dak no problem. Any capable GM should.

Who said everything needs to be perfect? Perfect no, just not totally ******.

Dalton is not as good as Dak. And guess what, if somehow Dalton did start and did as well as Dak, you'd have to pay him franchise money next year.
lol,, no you wouldn't,, Dalton knows who he is.
Is Dalton as good as Dak,, no.
Is Dalton much worse than Dak,, not by much.

Right. See I need someone who says "so and so will cripple your team" to back that claim up. Because Goff's contract isn't killing the Rams It was Gurley and Cooks contracts. Wentz isn't killing the Eagles its the fact they have big money taken up by 3 defensive tackles as well as Alshon Jeffrey's and Desean Jackson.

And the issue may happen with the Cowboys if Lawrence doesn't play better.

These guys want to eliminate the quarterback money but not discuss the team having money allocated to players who don't deserve it.
I got this!!!!

Brees, Flacco, Eli. All got huge contracts, all showed a huge regression in team talent due to having to let players walk so they could pay their QB.

Done.

If you don’t have a solid QB running the offense you’re not going to win. You’ll be depending on your defense to win games. See how often that formula has worked for the Cowboys. lol

Peyton Manning's first 4 years he threw 111 TDs & 81 INTs. 0-2 in the playoffs.

Dak is at 97 and 30 respectively on TDs and INTs

So, if the player was 1OA, you would give him a pass? Manning was highly regarded as a college player, but you're telling me he had it his first 4 years?
He had 28 INTs as a rookie, and 23 in his 4th year.

Also had Marvin Harrison, Wayne(01) and Edge James (99+)

Is this guy reading from my script?

Bonus

“A true Cowboys’ fan would prefer that Dak Prescott sign a contract for a little money as possible”

That’s an interesting statement that he made and one I think that many here would take issue with. I’ve seen people here say, “why do we care how much Jerry spends?”, but they ignore the reality of the cap.

He is right - as fans, if we truly root for the star, we should want to have the best players that we can acquire under the yearly salary cap. This, I don’t care what he gets paid just get it done, is nonsense.

This is what Dak Haters think passes as smart eye test football.. yet if you listen through the fluff and theatrics you find NONSENSE AND STUPIDITY.....:lmao2:

For example at the 4:30 min mark to 5:45 min this Sophisticated Dak Hater showed his under belly..

"Aaron hasn't carried a team because Aaron needs HELP!!"

"Dak
hasn't shown he can CARRY A TEAM because Dak needs HELP":rolleyes:o_O:confused:

This stuff is word salad and Dak Hater click bait.....

You have HATE issues bud.
You have my sympathies.....:(

Yeah..

This will be a problem for you guys I know.. But I do not care how Dak’s numbers compare to Peytons.

They aren’t in the same universe as players. Sorry I don’t have a number to show you that proves that.

The defense played a not to lose brand of football.

They tried their best to not give up the big play.

Did they create turnovers? No.

But my gosh we had games last year like the Patriots, Saints, and probably some others I can’t think of off the top of my head where we kept point totals low and the low risk QB who was building his completion percentages up forgot that Completion percantages don’t win football games and we weren’t putting points on the board.

The Patriots won that game because of one great ST play, not because of anything Tom Terrific did. Horrid weather conditions, neither offense able to move the ball. It's exactly games like that, that defense or ST needs to make a big play to win the game. The Pats had a great ST and very good def, get turnovers, shorten the field and create opportunities for the offense and that's what they did.

It's not a big surprise that playoff teams are also at the top in turnover differential. For a team to be successful, the other 2 phases have to create opportunities and ours simply didn't.

I'm not a pro Dak at all cost poster. Would actually love to of seen someone drafted to compete down the line.
I don't think he's this great franchise QB but at the same time I don't believe it's as simple as the RB position to replace.
I've watched the Dolphins toll in QB hell for 20+ years after Dan. High picks, 2nd round picks, retreads etc...
Also hope the Cowboys don't bend backwards on this contract.

That being said, Peyton Manning turned out to be a great QB, but it wasn't until Dungy where he started having MVP caliber seasons.
Now, I don't think that's not in the cards for Dak, but we've all lamented Garrett for ruining Romo's career, and I think it's fair to see how Dak does under another HC before writing him off.

I just don't see this contract being crippling, no matter it's high AAV.

Because many here player worship and are Dak fans only

I disagree with guy when he says no other team would pay Dak what he wants on the open market.
I do agree that they might not be lining up to do it, but I think 2-3 teams would be willing to dive in....and that's all it takes.
