"Do not repeat the tactics that have gained you victory, let your methods be regulated by the infinite variety of circumstance"

Need to get back to basics from 2016

Feed Zeke and let him wear down the defense and keep the opponent offence off the field. That's what you paid him to do.
Now we have the weapons and coaching to burn teams on passing if they decide to stack the box to stop zeke

We abandoned the run way to much last year as we got either to far behind or Garrett just didnt give a ****

Blend it. When they blitz then make them pay. Run it down there throats. Be aggressive. Keep the pedal down...

All the receiving talent on offense should mean we’ll be a more effective passing team.

Effective ≠ 5,000+ yards

Keeping the defense off the field is always good. But in the end we need to score Td's so whatever it takes.

With Lamb as our third receiver anything other than pick your poison would be a waste

No one should be able to stop this offense and theres no reason this team shouldnt score 28 a game

You take what the defense gives you. I hope we are done with the era of Garrett where he relied almost entirely on execution instead of giving his players the best chance to succeed. The Cowboys offense has the weapons to attack through the air or on the ground.
11 post in and you are the first to say, "take what the defense gives you." Wow! I thought that expression would have been in the first post, after the OP.

Who wants to had it to Zeke against an eight man front, 16 times a game? Take what the defense gives you.

"Take what the defense gives you"

Definition: Strategize around what the D is doing, playing smart and exploiting the weaknesses in their players/schemes.

I've seen some people beller "Just do what we do and force our will upon them". That's really not what this phrase refers to. Imposing your will on a team includes strategizing and taking what they give you.

A balanced attack makes the most sense, and each game is different from the others. Be nice to have a nice lead late then pound the ball with the running game. And if we're behind we have the receivers to make a comback.

I think you have to combine the pass and the run. Sometimes defenses are so focused on stopping Zeke running that Dallas should put together game plans where they use zeke on screens a lot more than just running. Dak needs to read defenses and audible.out of running plays and take his shots down field when the defense is walking that SS up into the box.

I am interested in what the line is going to be . Tfred while not what he once was still was decent so I’m hoping that his replacement will be as good. Asking to be better would probably be wishful thinking but if they are and Tyron and Zach don’t regress the line will be top 10 perhaps 5

we need to be less predictable. Garrett was predictable and with a new coach and Moore in his second year our offense which already good can be tops.

now our defense is another story as well as special teams. If those 2 units improve there’s no telling how far we can go. It’s needs to be a mixture of pass and run

I say streak with Zeke because I don't see DCs playing single coverage with no help on these WRs.

Also, the OL may not be as formidable as before, so some defenses will try an stop the run with 7 in the box...I think that strategy work a time or two last season.

It's going to be interesting. DCs can't ignore Zeke or the WRs.
