Balance. Runs and passes should be about the same.

It's going to be interesting. DCs can't ignore Zeke or the WRs.
A lot of DCs have gone with the make Dak beat you approach in the past, but I don't know if their willing to do that now with so much weaponry.

Definitely an interesting game to game observation.

You control TOP and you keep your defense off of the field as much as you can so it's fresh in the 4th.

People who say this is not rocket science are right. But its not about intelligence. It's about courage. Sometime you go away from what you think is your strength because the other team is doing a good job of taking that away. If a WR is double covered does the QB force throws to him because he's the best WR on the team? It's no different with the running game. There is no team in the league with as much balance on offense - and by balance I mean a balance of talent. They don't have to force the run or the pass. If a team is loading the box or run blitzing on early downs to stop Zeke, then throw it. If you're worried that the pass may not be as safe as a run, then take up a new line of work.

And while we're at it, Let's hope the days of playing for the FG are long done in Dallas. As long as there are downs to play, think TD. When its 4th down they can think FG.

How and why would anyone think we should do just one of these? I don't get it. Maybe they've been around Jason Garrett too long?
I just want to see them lean on whichever is working at the time.
Case in point, last year in the Vikings game; the running game just wasn't effective all game, and Dak was carving up the Vikings with the game on the line and drives the team down into the red zone with his arm just for them to hand it to Zeke twice (who gets stuffed, predictably) and they lose.
The Packer playoff game in 2016 is another example; Zeke was carving up the Green Bay defense, yet 7 out of 8 short yard situations they decide to pass instead of handing it to Elliott and of course a few of those situations cost points (the Dak INT on the screen to Beasley on 2rd and 1 at GBs 18 yard line, for example).
Balance is much preferred, of course. But situationally speaking, I reaaallllyyy hope McCarthy will have the wisdom to ride either Dak's arm or Zeke when one isn't having a good day.

I’m going to pull a Deion: both.
Balance is key
As great as Emmit and Dorset were, Aikman and Stauubach took advantage of defensive’s that stack up to take the run away.

you Can argue it’s still prefer method to use the run to set up the pass. But got to both well-balance

Re-watching the games from last year (only on game 7), it's so painful to watch Dak underthrow WR's. If he just had a touch of accuracy, he'd have 4 more TD's through 7 weeks.

I dont care.

Hopefully Jerry doesnt say to the staff.....I'm paying Prescott 35m, and Elliott 15, so we need to pass 70% of the time.

I will say that this team got away from the run way too quickly last year. When this group had success, it was all about the run setting up the pass.
Many times last season, Zeke and the Oline struggled to get the running game going. They all were highly paid. Should have performed better.

The stat I love the best is completion percent. Dak's was 65.1 while super bowl winner Mahomes was 65.9.

Statistics can be deceiving, and please don't try to compare Dak to Mahomes, it's just insulting.

it’s not necessarily for comparison, more for context. All save a handful of extreme Dak homers know that Mahomes is significantly better, but comparable stats show that Dak isn’t close to as bad as a lot of posters here would lead you to believe. Cherry picked stats can be deceiving, but multiple, wide ranging, inclusive stats can usually just paint one clear picture
