Without mentioning the obvious QB position, definitely LB. The neck injury to LVE is concerning, not to mention Sean Lee's on then off the field injury reports.

For me, it's TE.

First, because while Jarwin's receiving has been everything anyone could have hoped to see develop back-when (iirc) he was given the largest signing bonus in his class of undrafted free agents. But that, on its own, doesn't qualify a player to be a starting TE. It's admittedly a very anecdotal measure, but the fact that I've never watched a Cowboys game these last two years that he's been getting playing time, and heard him praised for a single block, but otoh, have heard him called out for missing a block... that makes me nervous.

Of course, there's a legit argument that if Jay Novacek could get it done, Jarwin is an inch taller and a few pounds heavier, it's legit to think Jarwin can, too.

Second, I can't say I know much about Bell, but what I've read leads me to think, as well as the fact that both Jacksonville and KC considered him not worth bringing back, he's not a #2 who could threaten to push for #1, but rather a #2 who could threaten to push for #3. Schultz, of course, has moved no needle yet, and his roster spot could be under serious assault once training camp cuts are made.

In sum, my perception is that Jarwin has been occupying his rightful role this last year or two, and still should be doing the same for 2020. He's that extra receiving situational TE you bring in, not the one you want as your primary, every-down TE. Bell is okay, as long as you have someone else on the depth chart who is, at least, his equal. We don't. So, I'm one of those who will be especially interested to see how our undrafted free agents out of Michigan and Portland State perform in preseason, and will be watching in the meantime to see if some new opportunity springs up from cuts off the Bears or Bucs rosters.

Don't be daft, mate!
QB, LB, front 4, safety.

Kellen Moore's offensive play calling. When the game is on the line, can Moore dissect the defense with creativity while still staying within Dak's strong suit?

That causes me more concern than anything on the field.

Aside from QB I would say the biggest concerns are
LB Lee cant stay healthy and that injury to LVE was serious and could affect him
S Dix has bounced around for a reason. At least Dallas wont have to worry about unnecessary roughness penalties when he makes a tackle.
DT yeah the brought in McCoy and Poe but those older guys that have some miles on them.

I thought McCarthy called his own plays.

The QB position is one of the least weak positions on the team if not the least. Closely followed by LB.

Maybe you misunderstood the topic?

RDE

We know NOTHING about what kind of players Gregory or Aldon Smith will be nor when they'll even be available to show us. They're late season hopes, IMO so plugging up that hole with a vet would make me more comfortable.

I agree that we should be conservative about their contributions. However, I think whoever lines up at RDE will benefit from a more powerful interior line and change of scheme so I'm not going to worry about this until we've seen some action.

Until Dak proves he can win without being carried, it'll always be QB1.

I guess defensive end right now, just because of the uncertainty. Once one or both of the question marks are reinstated, its still a concern, but then defensive tackle becomes at the top for me. I understand all that are mostly concerned about secondary, but the defensive line seems to me to be where improvement is needed and also where uncertainty lies, even with a draft pick and free agency additions.

Jerry won’t let the HC call plays.

KMoore had #1 offense in 2019.
I just remembered McCarthy in GB as head coach calling plays. He seems to have some control so it will be interesting to see who calls them. It very well could be Moore.
