  • He's 100%
  • Been practicing full bore for a few months
  • Played last year "tackling with one arm" because of neck injury
  • Laughed a lil bit when asked about playing vs Jason Garrett's offense
  • Looking forward to the season
  • Was shocked when Cee Dee Lamb was drafted.

They played his interview on the Fan this morning. He whined about the fans giving him and Heath a hard time about their injuries.

Suck it up homeboy. We don't want to hear you crying.

All systems go for LVE. That's good to hear. I'm hoping this "virtual meetings" stuff ends real soon for our players. They need face to face time with the new coaching staff, on and off the field.

My only reservation is that in this situation (being interviewed), the guy can’t say anything OTHER than he’s feeling 100% again and feeling better than ever.

Travis Frederick said the same thing leading into last season... then, once he retired, he admitted he never got to the point of feeling like himself, which is why he said it’s best to retire.

I’m not saying LVE is lying and that he’s not at full strength. But even if he is, neck injuries are only one awkward hit away from resurfacing.

I kinda lump LVE in the same category of Tyron and Sean Lee — appreciate it while he’s playing, but don’t count on it in the long term.

I didn't hear whining at all, but I did hear a at least a little frustration. But isn't that understandable? How would anyone feel if people were judging things about them they don't know the details of, and doing it through public means - TV/Radio/internet/print? Plus, it's an interview. What would we all say if we were interviewed about details of our life, and how would people watching/listening/reading judge every word we say? Ultimately, do we want interviews where players open up, or do we want interviews filled with nothing but generic, stock answers carefully calculated to avoid saying anything a fan can choose to nitpick?

Glad he's healthy. Not sure why Garrett made that comment about his injury that freaked everyone out. Idiot...

One thing I've noticed over the years..I'd every time a player says this is the best they've ever felt, rarely do they perform at their very best the following season..

Doesn't mean anything..just saying it's something I've noticed

I’m not saying that didn’t happen, but I could’ve swore Travis said something along the lines of feeling like he was 80 pct back and offering very cautious optimism. I don’t remember him saying best he ever felt or anything like that just that he could resume his job

That's true, but often it's with aging players who just aren't going to be as good as when they were younger even if they are healthy. LVE is still young though, so hopefully he will be able to pick up at a high level.

Something like, "Right now. we don't think it's career threatening."

Why did he even mention "career threatening"?
I imagine because the media would ask that question with a neck injury. It's better to answer than to avoid the question and make it appear the team is hiding something.

I sure hope so. This defense needs him. Badly
