Four years in the league usually tells you exactly what you have at QB.
Dak might develop into a Super Bowl caliber QB and I hope he does. But odds are we are seeing what he is and what he will be for his career.

You're a darn liar. You should be banned for intentionally trolling, breaking forum rules and spewing such lies. You've even got some posters agreeing with your bunk full of lies. Disgraceful and intentional is your hatred full of bunk.

Bruh.... don't reason with these Dak Haters

Feed them ridicule and distain.

I think Dak played well a lot last year. However, we were in 4 of our losses in the 4th qtr and in not one of them did Dak do anything to bring out a win for the team. He did not make any special plays in the 4th qtrs of those games to lead his team to victory.

Apparently some folks see a fantastic QB with basically no faults. I am befuddled by that assessment but each day it is preached on this site. What will be, will be. Will see what the narrative is in a few years.

I think the dumb arguments here have radicalized both sides to the point where it's all just white noise trash posting for the most part.

Dak is neither the worst guy in the history of everything nor is he on track for a Hall of Fame jacket. Where he falls in-between those two is debatable but it seems like 2/3 of the posters here are entrenched in some fringe opinion on one side or the other that's just kookoobanannas. Which was what happened to Romo, funny enough.

I think there are very few, if any, that see Dak as having no faults at all. Maybe there are a couple that are too willing to minimize those faults, just as there are some that exaggerate them, and even grossly exaggerate them. There are always extreme views, but, as almost always, reality falls somewhere in between.

For me, I would love to have an Aaron Rodgers or Pat Mahomes type of QB. The problem I see though is that QBs at that level are very rare, so a team can't afford to handcuff itself waiting for one of those very rare few to fall in its lap. So, far and away most teams have to go with the best they can find outside those very few elite level guys. I feel Dak falls in that next level group of QB's, and if the Cowboys are going to have a high quality QB for years to come, the team and Dak need to find a way to come to terms.

Another QB's opinion about a QB. Talk about surrounding a QB with talent, when he won his ring, he had the best skill positions and #1D in the league.

Give Prescott the #1D and let's see if he can get some "big moments". Aikman got his, Staubach too.

See..... look. All the GOATs are thinking Dak is part of the newest generation of great QBs. Even the great Kurt has no concerns with Dak apart from that one thing, and that one thing he says is all he needs to see. He's on his way to mastering the QB position.

Lemme guess: "Hoo cur bout Kurt, that noe nuttin' Super Bowl winning MVP QB."

Maybe these players want Dallas to lose.

If you don't mind I evaluate Dak under a real HC.

If that's the game Kurt chose to bash Dak, especially after knowing the physical injuries Dak was dealing with, that makes Kurt a moron.
He's failed at more than that one game. It's exactly what Dak's issue is. He's failed in the moments he needs to, to and take the next step. time and time again. Hopefully, this year will be different.

He went 11-10 his first 3 years against winning teams. Just because he had one year where he went 2-6 against above .500 teams means he's gonna do that for the rest of his career? How does that work?

It might work like how a lot of peopel do the same thing with Zeke?

Plus I Was just sorta kidding. I'm okay with Dak at QB.....if that is what happens. Perfectly good with it.

Kurt nailed it.
When Dak has been asked to lead the Cowboys and make them better because of him, he has failed every time.
He plays great when the team is playing great, but doesn't carry the team to a higher level when they aren't playing well.
That's the way he was in college, and the way he is now.
Exactly! If the running game isn't shredding the other team Dak usually is struggling.

youre by yourself on that one. I think that’s a laughable take

Really? If you get time, could you state your case why you think he deservedly is in? 3 really great years and 2 good years in arizona. To me that doesn't equal HOF'er for a QB. Especially throw in how he was benched TWICE in the MIDDLE of his career

“apart from big moments”. That’s a Garrett team trait. Hoping McCarthy fixes that issue. The entire team sucked in that Eagle game! They were complete garbage. Should’ve stayed home and forfeited!

"That one thing" being..."able to carry your team"?

What has Kurt Warner not seen to make him doubt Dak can carry his team? Many, many, many times Dak has carried the team during the past 4 years.

The bigger question is can the players carry their own weight, especially when needed the most?

Last year against the good teams

As I recall, he was benched A) to get Eli on the field & B) he was injured (throwing hand among other things I believe)

His career was short but dang he was good when healthy. He would routinely throw 3-5 passes per game into windows that were barely larger than the ball. I've always been a big fan of high level QB play & his timing & accuracy was up there with any of the greats.
