Jeff Cavanaugh dropped some bombs here. I'm a Cowboys fan that lives in DC so I don't always hear this kind of stuff
  • Richard didn't want DBs to disguise their coverages. Called him the Jason Garrett of the Defense
  • LB coach sent home for a few weeks. re: arguing with Richard
    • LB coach didn't get along with Jaylon Smith
  • Special Teams coach was in scouting and never coached special teams before? What the?
  • WR coach didn't get along with Coop. Again, what the?
  • Red's influence on OC was bad. Cowboys at home were world beaters; on the road, welllll...
Other nuggets in there. I really like listening to Jeff.

Yeah, that caught my attention, in a bad way. SMH

I guess obviously watching All-22/rewatching games would ultimately answer that claim, but man it certainly makes sense.
These QB's that would struggle most of the year would all of a sudden look like a legit QB.
Pretty nuts too about all these supposed drama between players and coaches.

Someone else created a great, and I do mean great, thread about this - I'd vote it for thread of the year. Richard isn't to blame. He wasn't disguising his Cover 3 because he was trying to stop the leaking sieve that was the defensive line. Richard coached the back 7 and Marinelli the front 4, and Marinelli's guys were getting dominated due to outdated schemes and coaching.

When 3 offensive linemen can beat your four defensive linemen, Richard had to bring players forward to help stop the run. Most teams want you to try to run the ball and make the quarterback uncomfortable throwing the ball. Richard was trying to discourage running the ball because teams were running all over us.

I'm not saying Richard is perfect, but the defensive problems last year were on Marinelli.

I saw this but decided against posting it. I remember in real time these Cav and others on twitter just flame Garrett for away games re: no longer motioning, running on first down despite only getting 3 yards avg running while Dak was getting 8+ by passing.

Sounds more like a Jerrah problem than coaches. Who's in charge?

If Garrett would have let Moore be Moore on the road. He’d still be the head coach. And we would have actually gone to the playoffs
