I know Looney did a good job in 2018, but Zeke only had 6 rushing TD's that year.

And Gregory was only suspended for drugs. That suspension doesn't exist anymore, so he will be available week one.

Change the QB to Dalton. The rest is ok.

Let the bombardment commence....

It is hard to list McGovern as the starting LG, but if this means after a competition with Williams he wins the job, then me too! I hope McGovern is better than Williams but that is wishful thinking.

I am as critical of Connor Williams as anyone but I have no reason to believe McGovern can beat him out for starting LG.

I would also be shocked if Biadasz is the starting Center this year. We can hope he beats out Looney but that's a long shot too.

But this is why I am most concerned about the offensive line this year. People are looking at 2 starters and concluding they are not good enough. So then they pencil in guys they have never seen play.

I actually really like that list for our nickel - which is what we will be in the majority of the time. I am not sure about safety though. I would not be surprised to see any of the three start. Awuzie could be a great find at S.

I think Williams and Looney represent the floor for those two spots, and it's not a terribly low floor. It would not be ideal, but if the other three still play at a Probowl level, we should be fine.

The reason I think Biadasz actually stands a decent chance to start over Looney, at some point of the year, is that if he had come out after 2018 he is probably a 2nd round pick, or even higher. His 2019 tape was down a bit, but he was also dealing with two injuries. If he is fully healed and is back to his 2018 form, he has a very good chance to beat out Looney.

I don't really count Looney as a starter, because he was never brought in to be a starter. And his salary says, so.

McGovern beating out Williams may not be as much of a long shot as you think. They are both coming off injuries. McGovern had a partial torn peck, while Williams tore a ACL in his knee. The ACL injury is much harder to completely comeback from.

True about LG. McGovern probably got a lot of work in before the lockdown. I am also wondering about Erving. He seems like a terrible swing tackle, but a decent guard. I almost kinda wonder if he was brought in to compete at LG while Williams goes to swing T? Just thinking aloud.

Biadasz comes in as OC interior option with any other shifting for injury.
Also wouldn't shock me if Connor Williams is moved to Swing Tackle is Biadasz is ready to go day 1.

Expect Diggs is top back up at both outside CB positions.
ABrown can move inside for nickel to get Diggs some snaps.
Woods can back up both safety spots and start if Awuzie is slow to pick up FS or needs to move back to CB.

I don’t know much about Worley.
And I would prefer Lewis at NCB over Brown.

other than that, the list looks good.

While true with regards to Williams versus McGovern it's also true one has 21 starts and other other 0.
If they do really like McGovern tho you could def see CWill move out to be that Swing Tackle.
The team has told him they envision him as a Tackle long term.

Probably 80% of the starters are effectively locked in, so going straight to the camp battle positions, I'd say

C: McGovern
RE: Aldon Smith (although I REALLY hope our starting RE isn't on the roster yet)
Outside corners: Diggs and Awuzie
Nickel corner: Anthony Brown

I think Biadasz gets a redshirt year, or at least a redshirt beginning of the year, and Looney will be the early starter at Center.

I'm happy with whoever gets the Left Guard job out of Connor Williams and Connor McGovern. Competition breeds success.

I like the two big Corners outside. I'm reviewing Diggs games from 2019 and so far I'm seeing a press corner who never presses (jams specifically). He just mirrors the WR's steps, which I understand since he has great athleticism. He needs to use his hands more in press to reroute NFL WR's and mess up the QB's timing. I am now smitten with Reggie Robinson's competitiveness and can't wait to see him develop.

My personal opinion is that you have the Safety spots mixed, assuming Awuzie is the guy to make the switch. I feel like he might be hesitant since he's going into free agency and Corners make more money than Safeties. You'd want Awuzie as the Strong Safety so he can easily slide into the slot (think Honey Badger) and cover guys. Ha Ha may have lost a step (or two), but I think they want his veteran leadership and craftiness at Free Safety. Don't sleep on Donovan Wilson here. Also, like I said earlier, competition breeds success. We may see an inspired Xavier Woods (I'm not a fan) with the comp, and the fact that he's in a contract year.
