The next four years look promising. Hopefully they will groom Dak's replacement during that time. I say that because we will be having to re-sign a bunch of big time talent four years from now. Including Dak, Lamb, Diggs, DLaw, J.Smith and several of our offensive linemen.

So, if we can have a relatively young QB like DiNucci come in and take the reigns from Dak, while playing for peanuts then we can keep this team together.

Anything can happen.

So to all the "let's wait and see" crowd, would you be happy if they said we will suck for another 10 years?

It is an opinion based on recent team moves and talent. And MM being hired and Garrett being fired has a lot to do with the optimism.

Of course we need to wait and see, everyone knows that. But what is wrong with getting a little hyped up for a good season(s) after a better than average off season.

Where have you been for the last 25 years?
I've had optimistim beaten out of me by this team.
Until I see results I'll keep my optimism in check.

I keep my optimism in check too. I do not expect a SB or even the NFFCG every year. But every year I go into the season thinking, yes, we can have a good year.
I don't come in whining for 12 months out of the year like many do.
But to each their own.
Whine all the time, most likely these fans just make themselves feel miserable all the time about the team.

I'm not buying into MM being the 1st coach in NFL history to win a SB with 2 different teams.

I'll join those tapping the brakes on this "dynasty" BS 'til the W's come!
Let's not jump the gun here, folks.

Humility is within reason!

Dynasty? Reach a conference title game before tossing the D word around.

I don't care about which team is a candidate to be a dynasty. I care about which team actually does it. It's nice that they have confidence in this team, but this is basically talk to just ignore. I hope the players ignore it.

Which leaves two home games against top quality competition in the 49ers and Eagles. Both are likely playoff contenders. If the Cowboys are in need and can’t beat either at home, they would have earned their playoff seat on the couch.

I'll be following progressions closely up to here...

Call me when this dood beats a 500 team lol

During the 2019 season, The Cowboys feasted on inferior teams and struggled against stronger competition.

Against teams with winning records, The Cowboys had two wins in eight games. Against teams with 0.500 or worse records, the Cowboys had six wins in eight games.

PS. That sound you here in the background.... It's your phone ringing.

Mainly because of #4 and the front office.

Next up, the Dallas Cowboys. Schein explains.

Too high? Well, I am going to operate under the dangerous blanket of assumption that Dak Prescott eventually signs a long-term deal. Mike McCarthy maximizes Dak, improving his consistency and making him a Super Bowl champion. That’s why McCarthy was brought to Dallas: to hoist the Lombardi Trophy. He’s done it. And he will again.

McCarthy is an offensive guru, and this squad is loaded with talent on that side of the ball. Prescott’s flanked by one of the game’s best running backs in Ezekiel Elliott, and Tony Pollard flashed plenty of ability as a rookie runner last season. Meanwhile, Dallas could definitely possess the top receiving trio in the NFL, with first-round pick CeeDee Lamb joining a pair of 1,000-yard wideouts in Amari Cooper and Michael Gallup. And while Travis Frederick’s retirement hurts, the offensive line should be just fine with Tyron Smith, Zack Martin and La’el Collins holding the fort.

Questions do exist on defense. Beyond DeMarcus Lawrence, where will the pass rush come from? Does the secondary, minus free-agent departure Byron Jones, have the personnel to hold up in today’s pass-happy league? Mike Nolan has his work cut out for him in his first year as Dallas’ defensive coordinator, but it’s not like this unit’s completely devoid of talent. In addition to Lawrence, 24-year-old linebackers Jaylon Smith and Leighton Vander Eschalso have Pro Bowl recognition on the resume.

All in all, this roster has plenty of win-now talent in an NFC East featuring multiple teams in transition. Dallas hasn’t even made it past the Divisional Round for nearly a quarter century. The time is now for the ‘Boys to finally deliver the goods.

I don't know about Dynasty with Jerry Jones as GM. He destroyed the last Cowboys Dynasty in one year firing a back to back winning Super Bowl Coach that actually put the team together as acting GM while Jerry was paying off debt and showing he was the branding and marketing genius that would turn $140M to $5.5B. Even his own wife said he could not leave well enough alone.

But this team lead by Prescott, Elliott, and the three amigos at WR, a very good OL and the Cowboys finally focusing on adding defensive talent has a shot at a Super Bowl. But you will never have a Dynasty again with Jerry Dumbo GM Jones. That is 25 years and counting of solid proof he is not a Dynasty GM.

Ummmmm, is that not a Dallas Cowboys site? What team would they predict a dynasty for, GB? PIT? SF? NE?

Things have to fall just right for any team to approach that D status including keeping the band together and staying healthy.

Only one team has approached that in the cap era and SB teams missing the playoffs the next season have become too common. Sustaining anything in the NFL is a tough job.

There will not be another dynasty, I don't even think Belichick would create that if he stayed another 10 years in the game. It is too hard to keep a team together long enough and too hard to build enough depth. The secret to Belichick's building as dynasty wasn't his acquiring stars, he paid more attention to all 53 than anybody else in the game. Belichick's secret was depth, there were no unimportant players, everyone had a role and he constantly reviewed his roster to see where he could upgrade.

If you looked at Belichick's roster, as compared to the Cowboys', what % of the cap do you think you'd see tied up in the starting 25? I'd bet Cowboys would be at the top and the Pats close to the bottom in top heavy cap. The Cowboys hope they don't get injuries, the Pats plan on it.

Think that Dallas is on the Dance Card for this dance?
