I'm not sure if there's a thread like this that exists, but I want to compile all of the good things we can possibly find about Dak. The reason for this is I honestly don't believe Cowboys fans understand just how important he is to our team, or how much he's already accomplished in his short career.

Please post positive Dak stats/facts. For example:

Last Season Dak did the following in the Red Zone:
16 TD's
0 INT's

Most Consecutive Starts By a Cowboys QB Ever:
1) 64 - Prescott
2) 47 - Romo
3) 43 - Staubach
4) 41 - Staubach
5) 34 - Aikman

Most Completions of 30+ yards in last two seasons:
1) Mahomes - 59
2) Prescott - 48
2) A Rodgers - 48
4) Watson - 47

Crazy Stat About Prescott:
- During his career, he's 10-6 in the first 4 games of the season
- Games 5-8, he's 10-6
- Games 9-12, he's 10-6
- The final quarter collective, 10-6

Dak Prescott on throws of 20 yards or more:
18-52
735 yards
8 TD’s
2 INT’s
106.57 passer rating (league average on 20+ yard throws is 81)

Dak Prescott (2018)
• More total touchdowns (28) than
Aaron Rodgers
• Better QB rating (96.9) than
Ben Roethlisberger
• Better TD-INT (2.75-1) ratio than
Tom Brady
• More total yards (4,190) than
Drew Brees
• Better completion % (67.7%) than
Patrick Mahomes

Highest passer rating for throws beyond 30 yards in 2019.

Highest QBR of all QB’s in the 2018 playoffs (2 games played).

Dak has 21 rushing TD’s in 4 seasons. That’s an average of over 4 rushing TD’s per season.

He also has an additional 2 rushing TD’s in 3 playoff games.

That makes him an incredible redzone rushing threat from the QB position. As good as some of the best.

for a comparison, Michael Vick had 36 rushing Td’s in his entire career for regular season games and 1 rushing TD in the playoffs.

I am not arguing that Dak is a better runner than Vick was in totality, He isn’t, but that should highlight how good Dak is at running in the redzone and running the ball for a TD.

If Dak maintains his current pace he will have more
Rushing TD’s than Vick’s entire career in less than 4 more seasons.

The only QB better at rushing for TD’s in recent history that I can think of is Cam Newton.

The Cowboys are focused on getting quarterback Dak Prescott signed to a new deal before the July 15 deadline for finalizing multi-year contracts with franchise-tagged players. And regardless of whatever has been said or speculated or reported or whatever regarding the negotiations, only two things matter at this point.

First, neither side is going to approach its bottom-line position before the July 15 deadline approaches. That’s a fundamental principle of negotiation; let the deadline drive the process. Any chatter regarding positions at this point doesn’t matter. On or about July 15, the two sides will get down to business.

Second, whether a long-term deal gets done depends on one thing and one thing only: Whether the Cowboys will make Dak Prescott an offer that will get him to trade in his contractual rights without a new deal.

It’s not about the current quarterback market. It’s not about where the quarterback market may be heading. It’s not about whether the cap will go up or down next year. It’s about the gigantic bird perched in Dak’s hand, a bird that has grown morbidly obese on the seeds of delay.

By not swooping in and making Prescott an offer he couldn’t refuse the moment he became eligible for a second contract in early 2019, his leverage grew and grew and grew and now he has more of it than any quarterback in league history...

When they do come together, it will not be pretty nor cheap...

I would have to dedicate too many hours compiling the information, seriously, many of you can confirm the amount of information I have already used to defend my position that he is a great quarterback, which is far more important than being a pretty passer.

I think the biggest thing affecting people’s judgment is Dak’s “natural physical skill”. Dak’s natural physical ability isn’t the most eye popping. He isn’t a guy that will stand out in workouts or in practice as being a better athlete than the other guys.

But Dak is just a damn good football player.

...Romo was a guy who needed to learn how to throw the football better. To me, Prescott is in the same boat. Most quarterbacks work on different tasks in the offseason but focus on one serious adjustment every year.

Up until now, Prescott undoubtedly has worked on the cerebral part of football which slows the game down for him. Last year, he worked on his footwork with former Dallas Cowboys quarterback and coach Jon Kitna. What Prescott needs now is to work on his throws.

I still remember the early Tony Romo years where he used his athletic ability to create more time by scrambling to be able to set up his throws from an upright position. The older he got, he used a more traditional quarterback shift in the pocket to create more time but his throws were not always the same...

Tony Romo believed this change helped him and allowed him to throw the football the way he always wanted to. Unfortunately, Romo figured this out too late. If Dak Prescott can apply it earlier in his career, perhaps the Dallas Cowboys can finally know what it is to be a champion again.

Romo also made big strides in his arm
Slotting. He got really good at releasing the ball from different angles. Something he wasn’t as good at earlier in his career.

Here is the most important stat to Cowboys fans.

Contracts signed in 2019-2020, 0.

He is a good QB, but he needs to sign a new contract so the Cowboys can plan their future.

Aaron Rodgers was showing Romo a better technique in the 2014 Pro Bowl, shown on Romo's A Football Life episode.

Hows this for you -

None of this means he should be the highest paid player in the NFL. Dak wants to be just that without earning it.

I never said he should be the highest paid.

I prefer he plays on the tag, prove himself even more, or not, it that is the way it goes.
