Highest passer rating for throws beyond 30 yards in 2019.

Highest QBR of all QB’s in the 2018 playoffs (2 games played).

Dak has 21 rushing TD’s in 4 seasons. That’s an average of over 4 rushing TD’s per season.

He also has an additional 2 rushing TD’s in 3 playoff games.

That makes him an incredible redzone rushing threat from the QB position. As good as some of the best.

for a comparison, Michael Vick had 36 rushing Td’s in his entire career for regular season games and 1 rushing TD in the playoffs.

I am not arguing that Dak is a better runner than Vick was in totality, He isn’t, but that should highlight how good Dak is at running in the redzone and running the ball for a TD.

If Dak maintains his current pace he will have more
Rushing TD’s than Vick’s entire career in less than 4 more seasons.

The only QB better at rushing for TD’s in recent history that I can think of is Cam Newton.

Imagine If Dak did all of this with another team, was a free agent, and we were in desperate need of a QB right now.......

and we signed him as a FA at his current asking price. We’d be going crazy.

...Romo was a guy who needed to learn how to throw the football better. To me, Prescott is in the same boat. Most quarterbacks work on different tasks in the offseason but focus on one serious adjustment every year.

Up until now, Prescott undoubtedly has worked on the cerebral part of football which slows the game down for him. Last year, he worked on his footwork with former Dallas Cowboys quarterback and coach Jon Kitna. What Prescott needs now is to work on his throws.

I still remember the early Tony Romo years where he used his athletic ability to create more time by scrambling to be able to set up his throws from an upright position. The older he got, he used a more traditional quarterback shift in the pocket to create more time but his throws were not always the same...

Tony Romo believed this change helped him and allowed him to throw the football the way he always wanted to. Unfortunately, Romo figured this out too late. If Dak Prescott can apply it earlier in his career, perhaps the Dallas Cowboys can finally know what it is to be a champion again.

Romo was a wild horse that had to learned how to be tamed.

But my gosh when Romo got it under control he was a great gun slinging QB. Dallas just failed him by hiring Garrett and needing to assemble the perfect team around him with Garrett’s style.

His big contract hurt us as well.

Romo has flair and he was so entertaining to watch.. Very different from this current QB who is boring and has 0 flair to his game.

It’s true.

I also think people are kidding themselves when they question if Dak would get that much money on the open market.

Some of the QB hungry teams. If their choice was between sign Dak or spend a top 5 pick on a QB or trade multiple picks to move up in the draft and get a QB. I think a bunch of them choose to sign Dak.

There’s a reason the cowboys used the exclusive franchise tag on him. And it’s not because they didn’t think other teams would have any interest.

I'm not a Dak apologist and I see what you're saying, but I would hardly call Dak getting upended while diving for a TD on 3rd and long against Seattle in the playoffs boring. He may not be a pure better passer of the football than Romo, but the kid has delivered plenty of exciting moments for us.

Even the most boring QBs can have their flashy moment.

I'm not sure if there's a thread like this that exists, but I want to compile all of the good things we can possibly find about Dak. The reason for this is I honestly don't believe Cowboys fans understand just how important he is to our team, or how much he's already accomplished in his short career.

Please post positive Dak stats/facts. For example:

Last Season Dak did the following in the Red Zone:
16 TD's
0 INT's

Most Consecutive Starts By a Cowboys QB Ever:
1) 64 - Prescott
2) 47 - Romo
3) 43 - Staubach
4) 41 - Staubach
5) 34 - Aikman

Most Completions of 30+ yards in last two seasons:
1) Mahomes - 59
2) Prescott - 48
2) A Rodgers - 48
4) Watson - 47

Crazy Stat About Prescott:
- During his career, he's 10-6 in the first 4 games of the season
- Games 5-8, he's 10-6
- Games 9-12, he's 10-6
- The final quarter collective, 10-6

Dak Prescott on throws of 20 yards or more:
18-52
735 yards
8 TD’s
2 INT’s
106.57 passer rating (league average on 20+ yard throws is 81)

Dak Prescott (2018)
• More total touchdowns (28) than
Aaron Rodgers
• Better QB rating (96.9) than
Ben Roethlisberger
• Better TD-INT (2.75-1) ratio than
Tom Brady
• More total yards (4,190) than
Drew Brees
• Better completion % (67.7%) than
Patrick Mahomes

Wow! These are amazing stats

This amazing QB must also have a great resume of post season success, conf CGs and SBs

I’m hoping you can post that too

But...but...but...Dak is a dink-n-dunk QB!?!? I heard it hear many times in CZ.
:muttley:

It’s so odd how he’s so good everywhere on the field except right in front of his nose.
