Imagine If Dak did all of this with another team, was a free agent, and we were in desperate need of a QB right now.......

and we signed him as a FA at his current asking price. We’d be going crazy.

Imagine if Prescott had been drafted by the Jets...it's questionable if he would still be in the league right now when considering the state of their oline, running backs, receivers and offensive coaching being arguably even worse than the Cowboys!

I'm not sure if there's a thread like this that exists, but I want to compile all of the good things we can possibly find about Dak. The reason for this is I honestly don't believe Cowboys fans understand just how important he is to our team, or how much he's already accomplished in his short career.

Please post positive Dak stats/facts. For example:

Last Season Dak did the following in the Red Zone:
16 TD's
0 INT's

Most Consecutive Starts By a Cowboys QB Ever:
1) 64 - Prescott
2) 47 - Romo
3) 43 - Staubach
4) 41 - Staubach
5) 34 - Aikman

Most Completions of 30+ yards in last two seasons:
1) Mahomes - 59
2) Prescott - 48
2) A Rodgers - 48
4) Watson - 47

Crazy Stat About Prescott:
- During his career, he's 10-6 in the first 4 games of the season
- Games 5-8, he's 10-6
- Games 9-12, he's 10-6
- The final quarter collective, 10-6

Dak Prescott on throws of 20 yards or more:
18-52
735 yards
8 TD’s
2 INT’s
106.57 passer rating (league average on 20+ yard throws is 81)

Dak Prescott (2018)
• More total touchdowns (28) than
Aaron Rodgers
• Better QB rating (96.9) than
Ben Roethlisberger
• Better TD-INT (2.75-1) ratio than
Tom Brady
• More total yards (4,190) than
Drew Brees
• Better completion % (67.7%) than
Patrick Mahomes

14 OF 30 TD passes last year we're against the Skins and Giants.
He's 13-3 against who else the Skins and Giants'
He cannot beat good teams or better said, playoff teams.
We have gone from his flash in the pan rookie season of 13-3 to 8-8.
He has more QB flaws than most.
He wants 40 million a year to keep us in the NFC cellar for years to come.
A QB who definitely needs to CARRIED!
Has won only 1 playoff game.

Man what GOOD things are you talking about????:omg::huh:

Wow! These are amazing stats

This amazing QB must also have a great resume of post season success, conf CGs and SBs

I’m hoping you can post that too

Well surely he is an All-Pro. Baby steps...

I think the biggest thing affecting people’s judgment is Dak’s “natural physical skill”. Dak’s natural physical ability isn’t the most eye popping. He isn’t a guy that will stand out in workouts or in practice as being a better athlete than the other guys.

I think he is much better athlete than most QBs, I agree on the perception but I think its more that he looks like Steve McNair and built like a FB at 6'2" and 230 pounds. Fans are used to seeing the Drew Bledsoe/Eli Manning type who is 6'5" and "looks the part".

Meanwhile McNair was a much better QB.

I think Dak is a really good QB, who will get signed to a very large contract with Dallas soon enough.
The one thing I worry about, is I can see him having a slightly "down" year this season and getting killed for it here and in the media. I worry what that will do to his confidence. He has a ton of it right now and I sure don't want him to lose any bit of that part of his game.

The reason I think he could have a slightly "down" year is because of all the new. A new system, a new culture, the new coaches, the new coaches in his ear, new WR's to get in sink with, a new center handing him the ball and the biggest factor, what could very well be an extremely limited off season/practice/time to get acclimated to all this new stuff.

Agreed. His build isn’t the same as some other QB’s. He is a little shorter and a little stockier.

He also doesn’t have a hugely powerful arm, which some people fawn over. Even though Dak’s arm is more than strong enough to make every throw on the field and make throws on the move. Any arm power
Beyond that isn’t needed for a QB to succeed anyway but some people are still mesmerized by the overpowering arm strength.

So basically what you're saying is you're only happy if we have a Quarterback who can regularly go 12-4 every year? Vs who we have right now.... a 10-6 QB for his career up until this point. I'd really like to know who is regularly winning games at such an amazingly high rate. There's only 1 or 2 people doing that right now, and who knows how long that'll last for them.

You intentionally left out the league-leading 51 passes our WRs dropped. I wonder why? Had half of those drops (26) been caught, Cowboys would have easily won the division and made the playoffs. Plus, Dak would have easily passed for over 5K+ yards, had a completion % rate over 70%, had a passer rate easily over 105 and probably had the highest QBR.

I'm delighted to have gone from 13-3 (Zeke Year) to 8-8 and having an in-between of 10-6 and 9-7 without any major injuries I might add .....and with 1 playoff win!:banghead:
We are after all the Detriot Lions right????

P.S. I'm surprised with soooooo little talent around him Dak has managed even those wins!!!:muttley:

My apologies you are correct his WR let him down as confirmed in the below video....:omg:

P.S.You would need to have Dr.Octopuss as a WR to catch Prescott's passes!:muttley:

Romo wouldn't have lasted physically through a season. FACT.
Well he played in 16/16 regular season games in four seasons and played in 15/16 regular season games over two seasons. He didn't have the Oline that Prescott has had over the past 4 years except in 2014 and defenders could leave one on the QB back then so Romo took his punishment yet still played in all of the aforementioned games.

Is your point that Romo is weak or not prepared to take hits? If so, perhaps you should revisit the 49ers game where he came back in to the game and secured the W after fracturing ribs.

Again it's a Dak lover that brings Romo in to the argument. Just let the man commentate!

You forgot the 7 dropped passes by our WRs (some were drive killers) and the 1 fumble inside the Eagles 30 by Pollard.

Once again, it's no surprise you left off these facts.
