Do you think that with another coach we would have won at least one SB in the 10 year Garrett era?

Yes, no? and why?

I DESPISE Garrett probably more than anyone here, but I will try to be objective.
I do think that JG wasted the career of many talented players and I truly think that we could have won at least one SB in this past 10 there if it were not for the clapper.

What do you guys think?

I think they could have. Specially if you go back to 2007 when Jerry made those ridiculous hires in the first place! No doubt better coaching at that time could've snowballed into a championship(s) by now. But instead it's been a decade plus of sputtering out.

I honestly dont think the Cowboy's would have won a Super Bowl , though I am really glad Garrett is gone. I think Jerry and Stephen Jones making personel decisions as far as the roster went hurt the team. Plus New England was still the best team in the league many of those years.
It would of been nice to at least won an NFC championship, the stars just werent aligned for us.

You can see already what a REAL coach does. He influences Jerry in how to build a team. A REAL coach would have had a much better chance of building a complete team. A REAL coach fires Merinelli and doenst listen to an idiot like that.

Team didn't really have a shot until McClay was hired. I will go with MAYBE.

Parcells was building something special. The 2007 team had a shot if he was still the coach. I think 2007 to 2009 could have produced something. I also think the 2014 team had a shot as well.

I am not sure, but I think a more effective coaching team would have given us a much better chance. I believe that Romo could have one a Superbowl with a lot of other coaches/other teams. That said, there's really no way to know.

Andy Reid coached the Eagles for 14 years and never won a Super Bowl. There's no guarantees.

Probably not. I’d of liked our chances better with an Elite QB or defense. We’ve never won a championship without one.

Unlikely but should have made the playoffs way more often and had 4-5 more playoff wins with at least one NFC championship appearance.

There’s never any guarantees.

We had a legend at HC , very talented teams with great QB’s, offense and defense. But only won 2 Super Bowls with 13 championship appearances.

It’s not easy . And sometimes a better team or talent beats you and or you’re upset. That’s part of the game.

A better coach makes a difference in 2016. The team came out flat in the GB playoff game, did not scheme around the Packers' numerous injuries, and had some odd run/pass decisions throughout the game. We win the Super Bowl that year with a real coach.

I think we had a better shot in 2014.

That was the most physical team we've fielded since the 1990s and Aaron Rodgers hopped on one leg the entire game. The Dez catch and Julius Peppers stripping Murray cost us an NFC championship appearance and we wouldve beat Seattle again. They did not want to face us a second time.

I think the guy in the owner’s box is the biggest reason we haven’t been to a super bowl in a qtr century. Sure there are other culprits, but they all run a very distant second to the oldest Jones at the Star.

It’s pretty simple- the last 24 SBs were all won by teams whose owners believed it was important to hire a real GM to run the football side of things. That’s not a great mystery. Except to the 78 year old billionaire with an ego bigger that his “stayjum”.

Why didn't we win a Super Bowl the 10 years before Garrett? What was the excuse then?
no romo , no witten etc etc, plus JG was OC from 2007 thru 2013 . he was here 13 years.
Cowboys were in 2 div playoff games during that time, one they score 17 ( I think giants game) and the other 3 points against Minn.
