Thank you for trying to end the feud between the Hatfields and McCoys, but both sides are so dug in that I don't see any compromise in the near future.

There should be a cease fire from now till July 8th, a week before the deadline. At that point release your full arsenal of bullets and have at it.

Everybody else, just duck and cover.
That’s because it has nothing to do with finances.

Nice try but money isn’t the primary reason people hate Dak Prescott. It’s just their current excuse because it makes the haters appear to be objective. There is a personal reason they hate Prescott, many just aren’t honest enough to admit what that reason is.

It has nothing to do with liking you or not. We don’t know you this is the Internet. This has to do with your challenge and nothing else. Don’t be hypocritical. If he signs leave. Just like you told the other guy if he doesn’t leave. Stick that in your My cowboy brother. And don’t forget it. Why do you make it personal.

Well said indeed, Cowboys need Super Bowl wins not Carrot juice.:mad::angry:o_O
I just keep repeating it and people still can’t get it stuck into their brains. You can’t judge any talent on this team. We don’t know what we have. And it’s all because of coaching. This is a new era. I’m not at McCarthy fan but maybe he’ll change my mind hopefully

The thing that makes me feel the best is that McCarthy has won the big one(and carrot head is gone):laugh:

You want to make the don't re-sign Dak crowd feel better? Well I want them to feel worse so....

Jerry Jones makes the decisions in Dallas and there's nothing you can do about it.

Jerry wants Dak to be our franchise QB and there's nothing you can do about it.

Dallas is going to re-sign Dak and there's nothing you can do about it.

Dak is going to make over 30 million a year and there's nothing you can do about it.

Dak will be our starter for the next four years and there's nothing you can do about it.

Andy Dalton will not be with this team next year and there's nothing you can do about it.

So guess what Dak doubters your powerless and there's nothing you can do about that either.
:laugh:

This is for you @CowboyRoy and @WillieBeamen.
Thanks Einstein, like nobody new this........doesn't make anybody feel better or worse either way. Dak apologists rejoice Jerry is just dumb enough to sign average at elite pay..... look forward to many more years of average records and no super bowls, hope everyone feels better either way.

I personally don't feel bad for Dak's rookie contract... still made about $5mil and WAAAAYYYY more from being the Dallas QB.

I mean the fact that he was picked in the 4th round isn't the Cowboys fault, that is Dak's fault.

It doesn't make me feel better, but I believe contracts are about what you think the player -can- do for the team and not what they did for the team before. What they did before is only a measuring stick for what they possibly can do or will turn into.

He was drafted in the 4th and was paid appropriately for that. This contract is about the future. Is that unfair to him? Maybe, but that's how the NFL works. That being said, I hope they come to an agreement and he helps the team kick butt.

I'm trying to give my best 'Public Service Message' in an effort to assist in the division regarding our starting quarterback. I understand that many are upset in hearing the dollars being talked about in regard to his next contract. And while I understand it, I hope that people also understand that all entertainers are grossly overpaid! If we want to 'fix' that, it's far bigger than one Dak Prescott.

But what I did was a quick crunching of some numbers between Dak and his closest contemporaries, Jared Goff, and Carson Wentz. Rather than focusing on Dak asking for 'Russell Wilson money', let's take a look at what he would cost the Cowboys vs what his contemporaries are costing their teams. There's not a fairer comparison out there.

So here are my quick numbers, cap guru's feel free to correct me if and where I'm wrong:

Jared Goff rookie contract – 2016-2019 - $49,677,990

Extension – 4 years - $134 million

Total = 8 years - $183,677,990

Carson Wentz rookie contract – 2016 – 2019 - $39,676,339

Extension – 4 years - $128 million

Total = 8 years -$167,676,339

Dak Prescott rookie contract – 2016-2019 - $4,903,172

Extension – 4 years - $140 million

Total = 8 years – $144,903.172

Reported $37 million a year figure - $148 million

Adjusted Maximum Total = 8 years – $152,903.172

So what we have are two final projections for Prescott, at the current 'Russel Wilson contract' numbers, or the highest end numbers at $37 million a year reported on that $5 year deal (kept to a 4-year comparison).

So, even if the team paid Prescott at the highest reported annual level, they would still ultimately have the better, more accomplished, more productive, healthier player at a huge discount.

$31 million cheaper than Jared Goff.

$15 million cheaper than Carson Wentz.

This certainly helps me to feel better about it, and I hope it does for some of you as well.
Dak will forever be compared to these two QBs. Both of these QBs were given big contracts but people forget Goff has won an NFC championship game and gotten them to a SB. He didnt do it exactly by himself but he is actually a better pure passer than Dak. Wentz has been all over the map with injuries but man he looked awful dam good before he got injured in 2017. 33 tds and 7 int is pretty good considering he didnt even play a full season. He has what I would consider a half of a SB ring. Dak has been a bargain for the last 4 years. He has been a good soldier and very durable. Dak deserves to be given a big contract. Does he deserve more than Wentz or Goff. Mehhhh Some say yes and some say no. I think both Goff and Wentz are over paid slightly. Dak probably deserves about the same even though I think both Goff and Wentz are more talented. I wouldnt pay him that though because I want my QBs strengths to be his arm and his accuracy. If you dont have a QB with a solid ability to throw the football he will break down easier under pressure! This is why I believe Dak is not very good in the redzone or against a team with a half decent defense.

Exactly, plenty of people hated Dak on his rookie deal

We could luck up and win one with a better defense. S.F. and the Titans got close with questionable QB play. So why not us?

YADA YADA YADA YADA since last spring YADA YADA YADA YADA....same old BS being posted on how Dak is this Dak is that and in the end, you Dak-Zoids are without a contract.
Zeke and Coop and Collins and many more got there $$$$$ and long term verification from Jerry..... EXCEPT DAK!!!
Now post again when Dak signs his new mega deal.....be prepared to be inactive here for a longggg time bud!!
:lmao2::lmao: PAPPYDOG talking about the same old BS being posted... :lmao::lmao::lmao2: That's priceless...:muttley::lmao2::lmao: You haven't had an original thought in years. Every post you've made can be summed up in 2 words... Dak Sucks!

{"Zeke and Coop and Collins and many more got there $$$$$ and long term verification from Jerry..... EXCEPT DAK!!!"} This is a perfect example of your same old BS! Continuing to push a narrative you know is false just to promote your agenda. Dak HAS been offered a long term contract, and it's worth more than any of those you mentioned. The difference? DAK CHOSE NOT TO SIGN HIS! The others jumped on theirs. You've complained the Cowboys are trying to pay Dak too much... Then tell everyone that Dak hasn't been offered a contract... So... Which one is it?

PS. Dak-Zoids? Really? Is that a technical term, an insult, or just another dumb PAPPYDOGISM?

My issue isn't whether he deserves to be paid more than anyone else. My issue is how it will affect the team's ability to sign premier players to surround him. If there were no salary cap, I'd say go ahead and pay him half of Jerry's net worth, because how much money he makes has no bearing on my life.

Thanks for restoring my faith in objectivity not being dead. Good points! I seriously wish posts would address things objectively without having to come down so hard on one side or the other. Some people think Dak walks on water, while others think he isn't fit to be a greeter at Walmart. It's nice to read a post every now and then which is just an honest opinion based on facts, not emotion. Kudos.:clap:

I don't know if it makes me feel better that we will be in the same boat as those teams.

I don't see Goff as having a great future. I see Wentz, as a player who, if he can avoid injuries, could develop into a star but he is not close to that yet at all. He has the skills, the mentality and injury status is a big question mark for him.

Dak is equivalent with them IMO. I don't think he is a player that is going to take his team somewhere, he is just going to be there for the ride. Hopefully that ride will end up in the Super Bowl but if it does, I don't see it as being because of Dak. For that kind of money, it should be!

Personally, I don't think the contributions of the position overall are anywhere near worth what the players make and the cap hits to the team. But that's the market and that's the league at this point in time. And you either have one and pay handsomely to keep them, or you're a have-not team that's scrambling to find one.
