No one is saying he is better, we are saying they are equal. But Jamal Adams & Darnold are better

No, @CATCH17 is saying he's better. That's for sure..and he might be..I'm not even arguing that dak is definitely better..but there is risk there for sure

I don't know why you'd choose not to pay Byron Jones and then not only trade valuable assets for Adams, but then turn around and give him probably the largest safety contract ever.

Then again, it's eerily reminiscent of the Demarco Murray -> Zeke Elliot transition so it probably makes too much sense.

Byron Jones is nowhere near Adams in terms of what he brings to the team and the impact on the field. Adams is the leader on defense we haven’t had since Woodson.

They are asking for a first and a 3rd?

Hell no.

Would any of you trade any combo of these two Players for Prez?

-LVE and Gallup

-Cooper and Mcgovern

-Lamb and Gallimore

Exactly

Exactly

Year 1 LVE or year 2? Also, how's his neck? I'll give you Gallup

Using a first on Cooper is the same as using a 1st on Adams. McGovern is a complete unknown.

Lamb and Gallimore are complete unknowns but I do like them.

The 1st and 3rd could also just as easily be Taco and Lewis.

We also have 2 3rds next year (barring Byron missing the whole season). One of them is certainly expendable for an elite talent.

Yeah there is no way we are giving up 1st Rd pick for Adams ,Jerry doesnt want to sit out the 1st RD of the draft again although 2021 will be a perfect year not to have a 1st RD pick as College football will most likely be cancelled and you wont have tape on a lot of players.

I found this interesting. I suppose it all comes down to how you define “big impact”

Ramsey vs Adams in their first three years. Adams has only played three years.

This is actually a more kind comparison for Ramsey because his fourth season was his worst as a pro.

Sacks
12-0

QB Hits (think this caused some incompletions?)
23-1

Forced Fumbles
6-1

Fumbles Recovered
4-0

Interceptions
2-9

Passes Defended
25-40

Touchdowns
2-1

@royaice if he sees this :)

It appears you compare Ramsey to Adams but then put Adams' stats first and Ramsey's second. Is that the case?

Well, I will say that I was not a fan of letting Byron Jones walk either. I just think that was a mistake but, it's done now. To me, the reason you make any move, such as this is for the express purpose of getting value out of Dak. I mean, as I said, the preference would be to sign Dak to a reasonable deal but, if that can't be done then I think you gotta find a way to get some value out of the deal. Adams and Darnold would help this team in two major areas of need. To me, that's making lemonade right there.

They both can get similar results and Dak doesn’t have near the upside that Darnold does.

Darnold has legit arm talent and more tools in the tool box.

If Dak would ever use his legs more then he could make up for some of that because I do see Dak as a better runner but he will gladly turn down a 1 down for a throw.

Unless he did a direct quote of anyone that can make this happen, it's just guessing and speculation. True sports stories quote someone involved with the story. When you see a source said this or that all it is, is speculation and they say a source so gullible people to believe it .
.

Guys talk on the record, off the record, on background and on deep background. You don't need to have a direct quote to use a source or source material - especially not with "insider" reporting.
Furthermore, you don't know the conversation Myers had with the source. Sometimes, sources use the reporter as much as a reporter uses the material from the source.

Ugh. Can't we have any threads without this spilling in?

We get it, every QB is the league is better than Dak.

Somethings cookin. Sign another player that we have to pay? Hmm... when you put all of it together, with how long the contract talk has been, Dalton, and now this? Cliche, but where there is smoke there is fire.

Throw in Darnold and we can roll.
