Do you realize this team has the best talent since 1995?

We went through this last year. It simply does not.

The 07 team smokes this team talent wise. Tyron, Zeke and Martin are really the only spots with more talent than the 07 team.

The 09 team was excellent also.
respect but, no

Has the talent to be the best team Dallas has put on a field since 1995.

I know there are a lot of ifs, but if you are a glass half full kind of guy this is exciting

Call it Homer.....Don't care, this team is good.
Last years team had Travis Frederick, Byron Jones and Robert Quinn and yet this years is more talented? No way.

Talent and coaching. These things go hand in hand. There's talent here no doubt. A little lopsided at the moment, but could be very good. Now there's finally a coach who can make something happen. A key element that's been missing for a long time.

2007 team was better overall especially on defense.

But 2014 was Romo’s most effective season with Murray leading the league in rushing. That was a championship caliber offense without a defense.

An offense that without Murray’s fumble and Dez no call gets us to our 1st championship appearance this era changing our course in history.
I remember thinking back then and I still feel the same way. Even if it was ruled a catch and we went in and scored, Green Bay had plenty of time to come back and score again for the win. We hadn't stopped them all day and I don't think we would have then

We never got that chance, so who knows?

No one knows. It’s all subjective.

I’d go back to Murray’s fumble turning the tide. And you’re right there’s no guarantee we hang on to win if Dez scores.

But I’d certainly like to have seen how that might have turned the momentum. Cause it definitely killed us when the call was over turned. Game over.

Settle down, Homer. It's only May and just having a season is in doubt. Having a full preseason of games has most likely been scrubbed. The team does look good on paper but that is meaningless. It's false hope. You will be better investing your emotions if you keep your powder dry until we have a training camp and at least some actual game time on tape. McCarthy should be able to do something with this roster of talent that is being piecemealed. I'm with you, it's exciting. But we have a ways to go before this group is worthy of being compared to what we had in the '90s. That was a dynasty.

Fair assessment …...much thanks.

Also, I like the 2014 team, but the defense played way over their head and wasn’t very good at all. Romo was great that year, but I think the 2007 team was better, especially with a healthy Terry Glenn

The 2007 team is much better. Especially with Glenn healthy, as you said.
2014 on paper had way too many holes on defense. The offense did a good job of protecting the D with ball control.

The big picture is much better than the loss of those 3 players. The crap coaching that just left far outweighs that. Plus no one knows what anyone is going to look like in a completely different scheme. And the team went 8-8. People talk like we lost hall of famer's or they just won a Super Bowl? If someone said Garrett will be leaving in 2020 and he has to bring Jones, Frederick and Quinn with him... see ya! Every last one of you. lol Don't let the door hit you's the way out. Now an actual and much better team can move forward.

Dear moron,

The OP says "best talent", and that's nonsense. We're down 3 starters, all pro bowl caliber players, and not a single pro bowler replaced them. We added some iffy veterans who haven't been good in years, and some good looking rookies, but no one in their right mind can make the case the talent is better. No matter how hard they try.

it is...believe it or not. Aldon Smith, Gregory LVE healthy and better coaching...so, yes Fredrick hurt but yes.

Better coached team and more talented are two different things. No reasonable person can make the case it's more talented. You're just homering out.

LVE healthy? You got a crystal ball? FYI, he was playing like hot garbage before he got hurt. Only fools put an ounce of trust in Randy Gregory.

We added a bunch of veterans with a ton of question marks, and lost 3 pro bowl caliber players. Depending on a guy who hasn't played in 5 years doesn't put much of a dent in that. Last year's team was significantly more talented.

Please. The coaching makes this team instantly better. You could've left things exactly the same and they would've sucked again!! Great draft, quality coaching change and some still moan! lol

LVE stated publicly he was 100% . He was tackling one armed last year. you can tear apart the glass half full if you want. Your stance has no more merit than mine. I'm just saying there is a chance, that's all.

Not to mention the additions at DT and moving the LBs. If Garrett and Marinelli we're still here, it would be what at DT?? hope for the best with Hill with the LBs out of position. so you're entire premise is predicated on a crap coach and a scheme that hasn't been effective for years! lol This front 7 got better in 3 months no matter how you twist it.

And we already played an entire season without Frederick. lol While Zeke lead the league in yards.

You can continue to cry.. good luck with that.

If Dallas gets Gregory back this one on paper will be better

Not gonna lie. The defensive line depth alone of the 07 squad is far superior, secondary and combined witha young Romo, Witten and T.O.. Just a personal opinion but I find distinct postional advantages. I'll be honest I had to Google it to remember the defensive line depth. You might be surprised.
