Darnold has some good qualities, but he need to get his footwork under control.
I don’t think he is bad but I don’t see a top 5 quarterback with him. If he plays like Dak in another couple of years consider he might not be a bust. There is a reason why Cleveland drafted Baker over him.

Gallup is ok. He will be a 3rd receiver next year. Did you see what happened when he got a chance to be a one against the Jets? Yuck!!!! Adams destroyed us that game.

I saw over 1,100 yards for the season, and two seasons of a player getting better and better and better. Much bigger than 'that one game against the Jets'.

The Cowboys would have one of - if not the best - trio of receivers in the league with Cooper, Gallup, and Lamb. Why screw that up over a 3rd round pick?

See the larger picture.

Im not a big woods fan. But I dont think Haha is much better than Woods. I could see either of them starting opposite Adams in this scenario.

Yeah, I think they're basically the same guy. Woods may be a little more physical, but I've seen him miss some tackles pretty badly. He's good in man against TEs & in the slot, though.

HaHa has been pretty good in coverage the last few years

Another answer as to the what's changed questioned you asked me the other day.

Timing.

Ahead of this year's draft, I wouldn't want to give up the picks in 2020 ahead of that season. If we had, we'd have missed out on Lamb and either Diggs or Gallimore for the upcoming season. You trade the 2021 picks now, you're getting a full season with an added weapon before the bill of draft picks comes due.

This is sound reasoning. If you mentioned this to me pre draft, I would have agreed.

Gallup is 100% off the table in any adams deal for me. That's a non starter.

All good points but the offense will be fine either way. Adams is a top 20 player in the league regardless of position. If he is free you take a shot.

Same here. I'd certainly never trade him for the value of a 3rd round pick. If he continues as he has, even if he departs in two years, you're likely getting a 3rd or 4th round comp pick for him afterwards.

I'd prefer best in the league to "fine".

It's not about Adams, it's about the idea of Gallup and having arguably the league's' best trio of receivers vs some 3rd round draft pick.

I'll give up a 3rd round pick if I have to, not a proven player.

I think there is a good chance he's on the team longer than Cooper is..the fact that it's even a question speaks volumes about the kid..

Exactly. I know Gallup himself was a 3rd round pick. But chances of landing another Player on Gallup’s level with a 3rd are pretty slim.

This is entire thread is why theres no deal done...

Doesnt make sense for Dallas to give up as much as the Jets need to get in order to move that player.

I personally think they want more than a 1st and 3rd....and I also know that fanbase will blast the FO if they only get that for him.

The only way this happens in an affordable way for Dallas is if the season starts and Adams hasn't reported. Maybe then they could sell the idea of only a 1st. Its also likely not a very high first either.

I dont think theres much to this.

I dont think they really want to move him. It would be an extremely unpopular move with the fanbase.

They can afford to pay him and eventually will.

Haha would be the free safety. Woods is the guy who'd be out of a (starting) job.
Disagree on this. Woods is our #1 at safety. If Chido moves to FS, Dix will be the odd man out.

Obviously, Adams becomes too dog in the entire secondary instantly
