Im not a big woods fan. But I dont think Haha is much better than Woods. I could see either of them starting opposite Adams in this scenario.
Then you would be mistaken. Ha Ha is superior in every way

I'd prefer best in the league to "fine". I think we will have the best passing attack in league next season. Not just because of the three receivers but also Zeke and Pollard.

It's not about Adams, it's about the idea of Gallup and having arguably the league's' best trio of receivers vs some 3rd round draft pick.

I'll give up a 3rd round pick if I have to, not a proven player.
I don’t think a 1st and 3rd will get it done. There will be competition for him. The Jets should hold firm until the trade deadline. Somebody will get desperate and offer a 1 and a 2.

The SS is definitely a position of need for the Cowboys. If Jamal Adams can be signed, he makes an immediate impact on the quality of the defense. Far more than a first round pick next year.
I don’t deny that Adams would help the team, but my point is that isn’t the only criteria. Adams is holding out despite having 2 years left on his rookie contract (one is the 5th year option), and the Cowboys wouldn’t want to trade away a 1st round draft pick, and possibly more, to inherit that problem, so they would have to be willing to pay what Adams demands, which reportedly is to be the highest paid safety in the NFL. But room under salary cap isn’t unlimited, and even if the team could find the room to slip him in today, how will that affect cap space next year and the next? The team has to consider all this.

I doubt that another team would pay the price or that Adams would be happy playing somewhere else.

The Jets asking price is said to be the 1st and 3rd. I wouldn't pay more than that for sure.

I get what you're saying, but this is the bs that keep you chasing a ring, who gives a freak about the future, the future is now, at some point you have say **** and go for it. with the salary cap you're going to keep losing pieces and constantly trying to replace them. if you can add an immediate impact player , you do it.
Every team cares about the future. The Pats haven’t stayed viable for so many years by not caring about the future. And if a team wants to win it all, it’s best chance is to be in the chase year after year, not just one or two years and then start all over and suck for 5 years while dumping salary and rebuilding. .

I would not trade him then if I was the Jets until the last second. The Ravens believe they will be Super Bowl locks with him. Since we are interested you know the Eagles want to get involved. The Cowboys interest is just to drive up his price.

If anything happens here, I wouldn't expect it until closer to training camp. The Jets/Adams have a couple months to smooth things over, or Adams and his father(former NFL player) will continue to turn up the heat for a trade and/or contract.

Rule of thumb at the position, you pay premium dollars only for an elite coverage safety that possesses high level instincts and ball skills. Adams is a terrific box safety with questionable coverage abilities. He isn't worth the price tag and compensation to acquire him.

Interesting theories there.

The fact that you think he has questionable coverage skills tells me all I need to know...your knowledge of this player is minimal

If the things being reported are true, like the Jets telling him they're shopping him, I think Adams' camp will use that as leverage to get him to Dallas. That's clearly where he wants to play. So much so, that I have to think that's he'd consider giving the Cowboys some measure of 'discount' on a contract extension. Nothing crazy mind you, but I think he'd sign a cheaper deal to be with the Cowboys than anywhere else, including the Jets.

I met Jamal Adams and trumaine Johnson few months back in a restaurant in Dallas. Bought them a round of drinks. Told them that’s for soon being a Dallas cowboy. He said he can only dream that happens.

andddddd he gets traded to the ravens this week lol

You know what's also appealing to me? The effect that the change of coordinators would have with Adams coming to Dallas. If the past coaches were still here, they'd play things by the book and simply have Adams playing the traditional, paint-by-numbers safety role. In Nolan's scheme, I'm confident that he would be used the same way Gregg Williams is using him in New York - all over the place in a bunch of different roles.
