Situational playmaking? Have you watched a single down of Jets football? I kinda doubt it after that statement
TONS. 45 years worth. Enough to know hes young and has work to do.

Oh I see, Your painted yourself into a corner on this and sticking to it. Ok, suit yourself. I have been around watching FB 45 YEARS and let me tell you. I have seen a lot of elite play. Darren Woodson was much better in coverage than Adams is now. Doesn't mean he wont have a chance to get better in the right scheme. You cant say much because the kid has played for a trash organization. Lets be fair and reserve judgment for when he is with a better team. But to date, he's shown to be up and down. OUTSTANDING BOX SAFETY AND LEADERSHIP FOR DAYS. He's a alpha dog...but you cant just put on blinders and ignore what he is.

-A fair comparison is Landon Collins, in my mind similar players. Seen both often here in NY. Collins numbers first 3 years: 340 Tackles, 8 Interceptions, 4 Sacks, 2 Forced Fumbles. Adams: 272 Tackles, 2 Interceptions, 12 Sacks & 4 forced fumbles. Collins signed with the Commanders last season for over 14 million a season and his numbers have gone way down.

People tend to forget the Darren Woodson was our nickel CB under Zimmer.

I’m not saying Adams will ever be as great as those guys but he has a chance. After only h th three years, he’s certainly putting forth the effort to get there.
You know, Amigo... I'll say it. After watching his LSU days and the three years with the Jets, I think he is improving every year. I believe he will continue to improve to be great, like the special players you mentioned.

Loving the excuse-making and rationalizing by some here.

Darren Woodson is my all-time favorite Cowboys player.

Jamal Adams is better. He's definitely more talented and athletic than Woody was.

Flame on but it's true.

I can understand "the cost is too high" arguement, but certainly not the "he isn't dynamic enough" viewpoint. That's just crazy!

This makes to much since he is still young id offer the 1st rounder. But I stand at offering players like Conner Williams or Xavier Woods or Anthony Brown even to get this deal done. He'll I would add two of the above along with the 1st just to get this done.

To add on I would also look at Larry Warford for 6m per for 3 years and cut loose Crawfords cash to facilitate it.

He’s a helluva player but do the Cowboys have the room to pay him? Is a sign and trade possible?

I’m all for upgrading talent. I’m not all for it depending on the cost. What am I gaining over what I have for the price. Clinton Dix no I’m not putting him on the same level. But for the money yeah

Please remember he's a FS. Not comparable in any sense of the word to Adams.

Jamal Adams = Charles Haley

The talented enforcer tough guy leader the defense needs.

Lawrence-McCoy-Poe-Gregory

LVE-Lee-Jaylon

Chido-Diggs-Brown-Worley-Lewis

Adams-Haha

Now that’s a defense.
Did you really just try to compare him to Charles Haley
