Wow, since I last checked in this thread jumped from 14 pages to 25 pages. That's like a Game of Thrones novel. Anything worth reading over the past 11 pages or is it just more of the same?

In Game of Thrones they all die violently. In this thread all current and potential Cowboys suck, can't play and are overpaid.

Saved you 11 pages.

Same here. I'd certainly never trade him for the value of a 3rd round pick. If he continues as he has, even if he departs in two years, you're likely getting a 3rd or 4th round comp pick for him afterwards.

And hopefully a championship

-A fair comparison is Landon Collins, in my mind similar players. Seen both often here in NY. Collins numbers first 3 years: 340 Tackles, 8 Interceptions, 4 Sacks, 2 Forced Fumbles. Adams: 272 Tackles, 2 Interceptions, 12 Sacks & 4 forced fumbles. Collins signed with the Commanders last season for over 14 million a season and his numbers have gone way down.
You're absolutely out of your mind if you continue to make that comparison. Please stop.

And please stop giving me stats. Certain guys have a certain "it" factor that Adams has and Collins doesnt.

Dont start telling me STATS matter for defensive backs.

How about the eye test?

And if you live where I do as you say, how in the WORLD can you ever make the comparison between Collins and Adams?

You know damned well what the difference is...OR, you dont pay much attention or dont know what you're looking at.

I'd rather have Clinton-Dix at this point as opposed to Collins, and Adams is a top 25 player in the entire league.

That's the comparison?

Dont want him at the cost? Solid argument.

Otherwise come on already. What would be the reaction in NY of the Jets dealt him for only a 1st?

It's only going down in the regard that Dallas can trade 2021 currency for him instead of that of 2020.

If the Jets took the offer last year they'd have had Lamb.

No telling where next years 1st may land and who it may be.

Theres absolutely no comparison between Adams and whoever can be drafted in the late first of any draft. It's a matter of what else they have to include and the idea that they have to pay Adams now.
Bottom line is the Jets overplayed their hand and should’ve unloaded him to us last year. That’s why their FO sucks worse than ours.

Yeah, big difference between teams trying to avoid you on the field, versus running and passing your way....
They do try to avoid Adams, Collins they don't care as much about at all.

That would be the big difference...

What did they lose? The value of the player hasn't gone down

Every team cares about the future. The Pats haven’t stayed viable for so many years by not caring about the future. And if a team wants to win it all, it’s best chance is to be in the chase year after year, not just one or two years and then start all over and suck for 5 years while dumping salary and rebuilding. .

when you haven't won in 25 years , haven't even sniffed around winning a Superbowl in 25 years the future means nothing, they've been worrying about the future for 25 years. the Pats are an anomaly in the salary cap era. that won't be duplicated. it's time to go for it, been saying it for 4 years now.

It's a ridiculous comparison.
