Cowherd is no different than Skip Bayless. Some fans think he's intelligent just because he doesn't yell like a maniac.

This coming from someone that's not a huge Dak fan.

I'd take Dak over Goff, Jimmy G, Darnold, and Allen.

I think Wentz and Stafford are more talented than Dak but they're tossups because of health.

If you don’t wanna watch the video, here are the QB’s he picked over Dak when given the choices:

Jimmy G
Jared Goff
Wentz
Russell Wilson
Lamar Jackson
Sam Darnold
Kirk Cousins
Josh Allen
Patrick Mahomes
Matt Ryan
Matthew Stafford

QB’s he selected DAK over:
Derek Carr
Baker Mayfield
Ryan Tannehill
Teddy Bridgewater (he said this one was narrow)
Andy Dalton

According to Colin, Dak is not in the top 10. Thoughts?

*Edit: as long as it’s not Monday night, he’d take Kirk over Dak. If it’s Monday Night, I guess Dak takes the cake.

There is a reason he’s not a NFL GM

This is comical, Dak's top 5-10 in pretty much every throwing stat. Statistically last year Dak was the best thrower of the ball over 20 yards If I'm not mistaken. He picks other QBs over Dak simply on who has a better arm which is an utter joke. How many QBs we've seen come out with absolute cannon for an arm who couldn't play QB at a high level? Some of the best QBs EVER haven't had cannons for arms. Other than Mahomes and Wilson which I don't think anybody would disagree with Dak's statistically better than all the other QBs, it's just a fact. Better completion percentages as well so there goes his "accuracy" argument. I always laugh when people state that Dak isn't an accurate thrower....I mean he has completion percentage records already to his name. Does he have errand throws sometimes? Yeah, so does every one else even Drew Brees and Tom Brady but Dak's throws like this get highly scrutinized when other people get passes.
Any respect I had for Cowherd(not much) is completely gone, this was a shock factor video IMO.

Colin brought up the fact recently that Dak has 30 TD passes , but none of them was in game winning drives. He also stated that Dak did not win the first game where Dallas was trailing at halftime. If you subtract wins over the rebuilding teams like the Giants and Commanders , where Dak really looked good, he has not performed well against teams with winning records. Colin’s brought out some great points , but the Dak supporters will never see that Colin has exposed a Dak’s weaknesses.

I’ve heard that a lot that he struggles against good teams...don’t all QBs? They are good teams for a reason right?

Were did all this love for Lamar Jackson come from? He is currently the best athlete in football. Similar to Cam during his Super Bowl run. Jackson cannot throw the football. The Ravens run an old school college offense. Cowherd’s love for Wince and “I see ghosts” baffles me.

yeah I like Lamar, liked him in college...but they play great defense (as Balt always does) and run a college style offense.
I give a lot of credit to the staff there and Lamar, but this experiment usually ends with a serious injury. And I don’t see Lamar having huge success in other, more traditional drop back systems....maybe, but I’m not convinced yet. This is why, right now, I wouldn’t pick him over Dak. Maybe Lamar keeps improving and I’ll revise my opinion in the future, no idea

I hate to say it but looking at that list isn't dumb of him to pick them over Dak. Wentz is probably the only one I have a serious issue with but I would not say it's absolutely crazy to want Wentz over Dak. Kirk Cousins too I absolutely would not pick cousins over Dak. But not a stupid/ outlandish list.

I don't think Cowherd's list was egregious, but he's certainly was more bearish on Dak than I would have been. It is a pretty interesting thought exercise though. Quickly glancing at the list of projected starting QB's, these are the guys I would choose Dak over, in no particular order:

Teddy Bridgewater
Nick Foles
Philip Rivers
Jarret Stidham
Tyrod Taylor
Kyler Murray
Josh Allen
Baker Mayfield
Drew Lock
Gardner Minshew
Jared Goff
Ryan Fitzpatrick
Kirk Cousins
Daniel Jones
David Carr
Ryan Tannehill
Dwayne Haskins
Joe Burrough

And once again in no particular order, these are the guys I would take over Dak:

Patrick Mahomes
Russell Wilson
Aaron Rodgers
Tom Brady
Lamar Jackson
DeShaun Watson
Carson Wentz
Drew Brees
Sam Darnold (production isn't there, but would be elite if surrounded by even average skill players)
Ben Roethlisberger
Jimmy Garappolo
Matt Stafford
Matt Ryan

Obviously this becomes more of a complicated exercise if you're looking at a QB to build around long-term and not picking one for a single season, but that scenario would skew the rankings, because guys like Drew Brees and Aaron Rodgers are clearly better than Dak is, but you'd probably still pick Dak over them for the long haul because he's "good enough" and the longevity he offers compared to those guys would tip the scales in his favor.

Totally agree. Next offseason the Ravens will be able to extend Lamar. I bet they won’t be to quick to give him 40 million a season. People on this board and the media crap on the Cowboys extending Zeke or any running back. Lamar will be the ultimate test when he negotiates his contract. I hear the comparisons to Vick. No way Lamar has Vick’s arm. Next season teams are going to make him throw. To me he is the best running weapon in the NFL but at the bottom of the league in passing.

Dak couldn't move the ball against Philly, NE, Buff, NYJ, Chicago, Saints. Couldn't move the ball till they let him rack up in garbage time meaningless stats. Is that easier for u2 understand?
And which of those defenses with you take the 2019 Cowboys defense over?

Lamar cannot throw sideline passes. I have no idea why, but he got exposed in his last playoff game.
