The solution to Dak contract

The front office needs to take the upper hand.

1) Reduce the offer on the table.

2) place a deadline of one week on said offer or it goes down again.

3) Follow through with same thing next week.

Continue until contract signed.

Why does the FO have to do anything? Doesnt need to make a decision on Dak until March 2021.

You think this is a solution? Hahaha..do you think Dak is desperate to sign a deal to stay in Dallas? He isn't.

He walks, whether it's this year (if you rescind the tag) or next year..and you lose him for nothing and have no qb

Wow. What a brilliant plan this turned out to be..

So just stay with the tag then, because there is zero chance Dak comes running to sign that deal lol.

The FO should just tell his agent that this is our final offer, and it is a pretty good one for an 8-8 QB. Take it or leave it, negotiations are now closed.

A team has to have a history of playing hardball before they can play hardball. Because if they don't, then it's really disrespectful.

So Tank and Zeke just set the standards for how Dak should be treated.

A breath of fresh air. Somebody in here has a clue.

Dallas will fold, as they always do. 4 years ~35m per..on or around July 15...the deal will get done

I have a better idea, lets stop talking about his contract day after day at nauseam on this forum and just let him play under the franchise tag to see how well he'll works with Mike MaCarthy and make a decision after the season whether to resign Dak or move on.......

The only solution at this point is to stop negotiating and let Dak play on the tag for one year in order to evaluate him under McCarthy.
He should get some money for the past four years, but is not at the level of a long term deal for $30 million plus per year.
The Cowboys should have used the non-exclusive tag on him. They stood to potentially gain more off of that move.
If the Cowboys let Dak walk he might get a good deal somewhere else, but would very soon be exposed for his shortcomings and be relegated to the role of perennial backup.
If Nick Foles couldn't get a big deal in free agency after winning the MVP of the Super Bowl, how big of a deal do you think an 8-8 quarterback like Dak would get?

Judging by past history with Zeke, Dak is going to be able to have training camp off, and then the week the season starts sign the biggest QB contract ever.

So he will get an extra month off and won’t even have to practice before playing.
