Right, he’s just entitled more now because of his outstanding play.

Exactly. If you think he has played better than Russell Wilson then pay him accordingly. I don’t think he has and I don’t think the next contract up automatically gets to be the highest. That being said, Dak has earned a nice contract.

Making “peanuts” was a product of his draft position which was a reflection of his collegiate performance and DUI history. He is not entitled to more now because he fell to the fourth round.
Then the increased salary amounts is an indication of what the Cowboys brain trust values him at.

A deal breaker for Prescott. No way Dak would ever accept anything like that.
Agree the guarantee money should be about 108-110 which is more then Wentz but around Goff. The only thing I would give slightly less than Goff because he has led his to the SB.

This tweet on Dak's contract - 4 Years - 106 Million Guaranteed

Jared Goff's contract from a year ago - 4 years - 110 Million Guaranteed

In that year the Franchise Tag amount for QBs also went up 7% from 2019 to 2020.

Are people really complaining about this?

lol at people calling him greedy but the only reason we are in the situation is because the billionaire owners decided to institute a salary cap so they could limit the amount of money they had to give to players.

I can't think of too many businesses that don't try to control their labor costs.

Was he greedy making peanuts the last 4 years?
Peanuts? It’s gonna take me years to make the money he made in one of those 4 years. And I don’t have the pleasure of getting payed to play a game. That’s one thing I’ll never feel bad about an athlete for is their pay because even league minimum guys will make more money in a year then someone that spent 10 years in college earning multiple degrees and a PhD.

No way he should take a 6 or 7 year deal, that's absurd.

I would be shocked if they tried to offer that to him.

If they did, then no wonder there has been little progress. I won't believe those details until i read another source.
