Jerry hires a quality coach who then hired his coaches, a great draft without any ridiculous gambles, not ignoring DT, the whole analytics team, moving the LBs. you watching a different team? Putting that emphasis on DT when it hasn’t existed for a very long time is huge. Not only bringing in 2 quality FAs, then drafting 1 on top of it. lol It’s been a joke. How often the D have to get run over for anyone to see what was happening here?
I would like to throw in replacing Heath with Dix.
Even though he's no where near a Pro Bowler, Dix is a capable starting Safety which they haven't had since guys like Hamlin/Williams, even Sensabaugh (who obviously weren't world-beaters either).

Last year their answer to the Ram playoff debacle was Trysten Hill. lol That’s a quality offseason. Then you get ran over by the Eagles after going 8-8. Sorry 7-8. Since that 8th win meant nothing.. as usual

They’ve done all this before except sign free agent defensive tackles the caliber of McCoy. Garrett hired his own coaches. Don’t let them fool you. We’ve had good drafts before. I know we are all excited they have had a great offseason but until we see results this is what they’ve done.

The answer was piss poor coaching. One week they shut down the best rushing attack in the league and the next gsve up 20 yards.

Not just replacing Garrett with MM, but replacing the entire coaching staff as well, or most of them anyway.
That is #1.

And because of that, they stuck to the draft board as #2

#3, still not overspending in FA.

Wouldn’t have helped. More opportunities to get run over!

Even his coaching hires were ridiculous. Hitting that deep Detroit Lion coaching tree? lol Who was next Wayne Fontes. Everything he did resulted in what? They had ok drafts, scattered talent doesn’t win you anything. They were a mess until a mid season trade for Cooper. And they’re still a mess! STs? crap D? crap. Overall 53 8-8 You think what’s happening now is the same?? lol This isn’t excitement, it’s hope and it didn’t exist at all until Jerry made a real change. All Garrett’s coaching hires were pointless and just an endless search for the next scapegoat. We just watched 13 years of talent without real coaching. Let’s stop pretending Garrett’s in the same company!

Agreed. It was time to part ways with Heath anyway and I like Clinton Dix. Safety could also be addressed early in next years draft.

The looming, large contract seems to overshadow the fact that Dallas didn't overpay to keep BJones and Quinn. I feel like that was a solid move, though I was a fan of Byron..just not at his price tag.

This is either the easiest question in history or a trick.

1) flushing the garbage coaching staff and bringing in MM
2) beefing the DL with Poe and McCoy
3) drafting Lamb at 17

I'd have to say without a doubt it was the letting Jason Garrett go.

Garrett was a mediocre head coach at best.

Sorry if you're reading this Jason Garrett.

Edit: What is the 2nd best move that doesn't relate to head coaching?

DALTON!!!
