These people with daily tv shows on cable tv love to talk about the Cowboys. They literally do this daily. And this goes for ALL of the 25 or so daily shows on the 4 or 5 networks doing sports. The slightest hint of something relevant to discuss and they will do so and if not they will force a topic. All this is true even if there was no pandemic-related news shortage. But it is even more so now. Why one earth every time one of these people, who need to fill time to sell ads, says something about the Cowboys does a Zoner think it should be posted here is beyond me. These are not relevant, not noteworthy, not interesting, and this board is getting clogged with them.

The fake sensitivity by the pup is cute. Pappypuppy is just deflecting attention from your calling out his statement that you requested proof of rather than presenting said proof or admitting there is none.
95% of posts are opinion, not provable fact. And no, i cannot prove it's 95%.

The same as it was in 2015 when Romo went down. Just replace the names of Weeden or Cassel with some other veteran rag arm looking to steal some cash from Jerry on his way out.

Oh, that's right. Jerry already did that last week.
2015 was a real coaching issue. Cassel was reportedly saying that he couldn't even get coaches to help him. If we had a real staff in 2015 things would have been dramatically different.

Look at the couple of times Brady went down in his career, no where near the drop off as to what we experienced in 2015. Romo added 5 years to Garrett's tenure as a head coach here. Probably the worst thing I could complain about with Romo.

Daks as good as gone. Jerry ain't paying him! Thats exactly why Rush was let go and Dalton was brought in after already giving Rush a 3 mil deal. Jerry and Stephen were hoping Dak would come to his senses but nope. Jerrys face during the Eagles loss last year was all I needed to see. No offensive fire power when you need it. All those fireworks against the Commanders and Giants and not a sparkler against the Eagles.

What you haven't seen Dalton Twitter workout video. He was jump boxing at least 30" :flagwave:

Dalton wouldn't last 3 games as a starter. This is not Cincinnati. The spot light and the rigors of Cowboys abnormal schedule will destroy 32 yr body. Rifle has no legs.

Dalton's a great backup.

Dalton has survived playing against the defense of the Steelers and the Ravens his whole career. Also, all AFC north games in the winter are brutal. Not saying he’s had a ton of success but he’s been through tough conditions.

Playing in the NFCE and in the cush conditions of ATT is probably a dream to him.

good points.
I think dalton could do good here. Dak has shown what he can do, and it is limited.
So yeah time to move on but jones boys want to dance with dak and pay him enormous salary.
They probably get off and have fun doing this contract dance with dak and his agent lol, it makes them feel important, and when
they get a deal done they will be so proud of themselves!
This is the sort of stuff they enjoy doing, even though they are not very good or smart .

This is playing out beautifully for Dak to be gone! The media has become involved and are talking about how crazy it is with what Dak is asking. Even Marcellus Wiley who was in Daks corner says that he knows from experience that the players in the locker room talk about this type of stuff and most of these guys dont like when a player goes Gucci on em. Dak is doing this all to himself.
Even if Dak signs I can guarantee you this would get really ugly with a lot of fingers pointing at Dak. Jerry and Stephen are not going to forget those very important NFC games that Dallas needed last year and lost because the QB play was terrible.

Did they get the best deal with the previous players? They lose every stare down and will keep getting the stare from every agent because of the Joneses rep for poor negotiating. They rollover.

They have created their own problem. No one faults them, except the Dakaters, for trying to get a longer term deal done but that 45M shot across their bow should stop that.

The fact that they choose to make negotiations a media event is what draws the criticism, no other team needs the attention.
many deals are just the sound of inevitability. it's not just about dollars and cents. it's about being able to spread out the cap hit over several years. and how soon they can get out of a deal with minimal cap hits. all the 401kers see on the zeke deal is 15 million yearly and nothing else. same with the cooper deal. all they see is the yearly average. same for tank. how about Jaylon and la'el Collins. the process is far more complicated than buying a car or a house. you criticize them for saying complimentary things about a player prior to deals being finished. do you think it would be better if they denigrated the player the way the 401kers do jerry and Stephen. the days of tex schramm and his take it or leave it deals is long since gone. in today's nfl, Stephen is as good as it gets at making deals no matter how many times you refer to him as a lucky sperm.
