....... After 10 yrs of never knowing what team would show up Sunday. Getting Big Mike has changed the climate around Dallas.

Wouldn’t have helped. More opportunities to get run over!

Even his coaching hires were ridiculous. Hitting that deep Detroit Lion coaching tree? lol Who was next Wayne Fontes. Everything he did resulted in what? They had ok drafts, scattered talent doesn’t win you anything. They were a mess until a mid season trade for Cooper. And they’re still a mess! STs? crap D? crap. Overall 53 8-8 You think what’s happening now is the same?? lol This isn’t excitement, it’s hope and it didn’t exist at all until Jerry made a real change. All Garrett’s coaching hires were pointless and just an endless search for the next scapegoat. We just watched 13 years of talent without real coaching. Let’s stop pretending Garrett’s in the same company!
Yeah, I don't care if someone likes or dislikes MM, comparing him to JG is doltish.

Getting rid of Garrett has clearly been the best offseason move taken.

BUT the best offseason move that hasn’t happened that should....would be getting the 78 year old owner/GM to allow his new HC to act like a real HC. It would keep the micromanagement that has plagued this franchise for a qtr century away.

That would be the BEST offseason move.

They’ve done all this before except sign free agent defensive tackles the caliber of McCoy. Garrett hired his own coaches. Don’t let them fool you. We’ve had good drafts before. I know we are all excited they have had a great offseason but until we see results this is what they’ve done.
I've been trying to tell him lol

To me, getting Cee Dee Lamb in the 1st round was the #1 move.

He'll probably be the most prolific addition we'll have from the 2020 draft.
He stands out like crazy and should be a gamebreaker for many years to come!

I'd have to say without a doubt it was the letting Jason Garrett go.

Garrett was a mediocre head coach at best.

Sorry if you're reading this Jason Garrett.

Edit: What is the 2nd best move that doesn't relate to head coaching?

Best move in the last 15 years his firing Garrett.

2nd best move this year was hiring MM and giving him the power to hire and fire his own coaches.

Hiring McCarthy no doubt.

Garrett was past his expiration date but the team could have made matters worse by hiring a defensive yeller and screamer like Ron Rivera. --whose NFL record is actually WORSE than Garrett.

They went and got a guy who was both hungry and experienced. A guy who wanted to be in this situation where he gets a say in personnel and has a young franchise QB.
