Cowboys leaked their interest in adams at the deadline in October..it pissed the Jets off and probably ruined any chance of a deal getting done back then..Dallas wont make that mistake again

That sounds like pure speculation. Any evidence of this?

Dallas cant do this deal until it gets ugly between Adams and NY.

They probably should have taken last years offer, which would have been Lamb and Brown in the end.

Then again, Adams may have been worth one extra win last year and a division title and a playoff loss and Jerry being able to sell bringing back you know who.....so some things just work out well sometimes.

So maybe it wouldnt have been Lamb.

I love Adams and realize what he brings to the table, but Dallas needs to get him for a 2021 1st and an expendable player like CWillliams or XWoods and the Jets are far from that spot.

its lyin season. My hunch is he will be a Jet for at least half of 2020. This aint Madden. games are won with mudders, dogs out there on the field. HUNGRY players that wanna prove themselves. No more fat cat deals until we sort out the team in camp. We can be patient a bit longer. Now if the price comes down, I MAY take a serious look.

A few points:

1. Right now the Jets still want someone to overpay for Adams.
2. The Cowboys have a bigger issue with Dak's contract without adding an Adams renegotiation to the plate.
3. Unless blown away by another offer (see point 1), the Jets will not likely trade Adams without at least circling back to gauge Dallas's interest.
4. Time is on the Cowboys side here. If Jets and Adams reach agreement on a contract, then he was never likely to be traded anyway. The Cowboys need to wait until Adams forces the issue- bringing the price down.
