He's been here only 4 years, and he's beaten 22 teams already. :clap:And every team in the NFC except Carolina. Unfortunately, unless he wins the Super Bowl this year, he'll have to wait to knock out even just 1 of the first 8 this year and none of those are on the schedule, but it's quite impressive what he's done in just 4 years beaten 2/3 of the teams in the NFL already.

Wow, Dak has beaten all these teams so therefore we can credit him for the following...

2017 9-7
2018 10-6
2019 8-8

Alright Dak what a winner baby!!!

P.S. No excuses for the above as you can't have your Dak-cream and Dak-Cake together!!!

So it's okay to give Dak all the credit for 'beating teams' if you support giving him a big new deal but if you point out that he was 1-6 against playoff teams last season then you are a hater because it's a team game and you can't blame Dak for losses due to the defense, coaching staff, WR drops, o-line issues, Zeke, etc.? Yeah, that is some interesting logic going on.

PS

If 'Dak' had beaten either NE, the Jets, or Buffalo last year Dallas would have made the playoffs but alas 'Dak' didn't beat those teams and Dallas missed the playoffs.

Oh, and if you want to examine stats closer then take into account that Dak has a 40-24 career record as the starting QB of the Cowboys but if you take out his rookie season of 13-3, Dak's record the last 3 seasons is 27-21......and of that record Dak has a record against the Commanders & Giants in the last 3 seasons of 11-1...against 2 teams that clearly have been crap the last 3 seasons.

Therefore, outside of the Commanders & Giants the last 3 seasons, Dak has a record of 16-20.....yeah, give Dak a huge contract based on that record. LOL

See that's the thing with your "examine stats closer" logic. You can't just collectively take out games like that to try and make your case based on that. This thread proves that he's beaten 22 teams already, so he isn't just the guy who whips the Commanders and Giants . So this constant bashing Dak for that Giants and Commanders thing is getting old now.

There are other things to look at. Some people thinks he looks extremely impressive as a QB, and is highly improved throwing the ball, and running the offense (people like former NFL coaches and players, the ones who matters... not people like his dissers on this forum), the media is all over him as a favorite for future league MVP, and the fact that his stats all look extremely quality. The most interesting one is that he's the only QB ever besides Marino to throw for 15,000 yards, score 118 TDs, and win 40 games in his first 4 years. Guys who post numbers like that don't just start sucking while getting deeper into their career - the exact opposite, in fact. The guys who make the decisions are gonna rest their knowledge on that fact, and trust these kinds of facts and figures.

Me thinks that he should not play against the AFC with the exception of the Panthers.

I am a Dak fan by the way. What was forgotten in the post was how many times Dak has played against said teams and lost. 0-1 is not a fair assessment. 0-7 would grab my attention otherwise its just bs.

I'm on the fence about giving dak a huge deal as well. However to just throw out his record and blame him isn't fully accurate. How many of those games could have been won with better coaching (jerry's fault i know). One thing i'll say about dak is i think he'd thrive with a real head coach like mccarthy.
