Assuming his blocking was a major reason why he didn’t get a lot of reps, does anyone know what’s required of the TE in Big Mac’s Offense? If it’s not a huge requirement I think Jake is going to have an excellent year catching the football. He appears to be a very fluid runner.

Yes he is fluid, but we are comparing him to the Herman Munster of tight ends.

I just want to know when they were handing out contracts who was bidding against us to warrant giving him that?

I don't think the TE position is going to be all that important to the offense this coming season. Jarwin is absolutely going to have to improve his blocking technique so that we don't have to put in Bell every time we run the ball. Defenses figure those things out very quickly.

Jarwin is going to have to prove he’s the next great Cowboys TE or the team will be looking for one early in the 2021 draft. I haven’t seen enough from him underneath as a chain mover or as a blocker to make me think he’s going to be the answer. He’s an undrafted FA going into his fourth season. It’s now or never for him to prove he can be a number one TE. Jason Witten is gone for good so no excuses.
