The flaw there is that Williams will need second contract before Smith is done (most likely).

While I think Williams is probably a LT that couldnt convert to G well, I'd have a very tough time trusting him there on this team.

You can get a good one.....probably a plug and play one....in the late first of the next few drafts. That's gotta be the plan for Tyrons successor, not Williams.
I think Williams is a RT, but I guess that is just me. He has great footwork, and is not powerful enough for LT, IMO.
Collins is left handed and definitely powerful enough. As far as the second contract etc, that is for the FO to work on getting the OL paid while hemorrhaging over the $$$$ going to the QB.

I think he isnt much of anything actually.

I say LT for him because he played there in college and was a highly rated player.

Looking at him, I would say of the five spots, RT seems like a logical fit.

He definitely does NOT resemble some of the behemoth athletes you see at LT in the NFL, just massive dudes. Williams doesnt look the part.

He doesnt seem powerful enough to play guard.

It would be interesting to see what the team would do if Tyron were out any length of time...although I could live with never finding out.

One thing is for sure...I have much more confidence the current staff will get it right than in a long while.

Let me also throw in that I think the FO and/or staff has or will have much more faith in Looney than people on this board seem to.

We all want our new draft pick to be in the lineup but he looks an awful lot like a guy who will need a year in an NFL strength program.

He will get there, I'm just not sure its yet.

Going to be one the more interesting sets of battles we have had in some time. You have Looney, Williams, McGovern and Baidasz all fighting for two starting. Add to that, you have a guy in McGovern that could possibly end up starting at either spot.

Who are you rooting for to come out on top
The RG, LC, and C that does not get pushed 2-3 yards into the backfield every play.
