Uh, hello. Because Dalton is under contract and thus has been more in touch and involved with the virtual meetings/teachings because of already being under contract?

It's clear Dak's agent is advising Dak to restrict his contact with the team while contract negotiations are underway and a contract extension still has not been signed. Why is it so hard for some of you to understand that?

It's a long offseason, man. Pace yourself.

Cause it's a bad plan for Dak.

There's no mileage for Dak in being unprepared for the season. Holding out from practices to avoid injury makes sense. Holding out from understanding the offense is dumb.

The more lose-lose Dak's agent negotiates, the more intransigent Dak looks, the more likely management concludes they'll never get a decent contract out of them, and consider moving on.

Let Dak sign the tag. Trade him. Roll with the much under market Dalton this year, with 30 mil of cap freed this year to pick up quality players across the roster. That's a *legitimate* option.

They could even cover themselves by going to Dalton and negotiating option years at a decent starting QB salary first.

I like Dak, but for the team's sake, part of me would like to see Jerry make an example of *someone*, and Dak is the next in line.

Jerry brings no state income tax, a prosperous, growing state that *loves* football, and the Cowboy brand to the negotiating table. Yet he seems to be getting walked over by precisely the players who most benefit from the extra that Jerry brings to the table - the "stars". There shouldn't be a "home town" discount, but there should be a Dallas Cowboys discount. That's value that Jerry isn't getting in his contract negotiations, and it makes our cap situation worse, and thereby the team worse.

I would have rather done it with Zeke or Law. But Dak is next man up.

Interesting that he talks up Dalton when asked about Dak.

It's less interesting if you actually read the article and aren't looking for confirmation bias.

Why do so many people care how he looks?

This is a thread about how he feels about Dak's not taking part in the virtual offseason, and a majority of the posts make fun of his size. I thought most of us here were no longer in middle school.

Zeke’s looking at Mike-Mc and thinking,

“Man, I got some catching up to do...”

That pic looks like from his first press conference as the HC.

Either way, its not the most flattering pic to choose from.

Sorry, but you're wrong. You don't use your best player, especially your franchise stud QB who keeps getting better, as an example for your failed bad contract negotiations. You would destroy the whole team, confidence and respect from the players and coaches. Jimmy Johnson would never have used Troy as trade bait simply for refusing to pay him his worth while paying other players top overall league pay. That's just nuts. The only message you would send is that you don't know what in the hell you are doing and are willing to get rid of your best player, while destroying the team, because of your inability to understand who to pay top pay or not......and why.

What do you expect Big Mac to say?
Only a moron would say, "We don't expect Qak to be here and Dalton is nowhere near ready to play in this conference."

You bet.

And you were 16 then and could not wait for it to come out on DVD..

so you could get Leia home alone.

Pervert.

I was there, too.

But I was like 30 something.
