Dak is a QB Barber/Murray were RBs. Two different positions. Much easier to find a decent RB than it is to find a good QB, therein lies the difference between the Dak situation and the Murray situation.
Never try to reason with these knuckleheads unless of course it amuses you.

most of what these haters have to say carries as much relevance as this mornings flush

Looking back, NOT paying Murray was a huge mistake. For EXACTLY the reason you spoke of. And to compound that initial dumb move of using a 4th pick to draft a RB they doubled down and made him the highest paid RB two years before his contract was up. LOL

Not paying Murray was the right move......Murray was used up and worn out during the last season with the Cowboys....after that he did nothing but fizzle out of the NFL.....Like Murray, but the Cowboys used him up and then let him go....smart move by the Cowboys

Bad move and what you said simply wasn't the case.

Not resigning Murray all but killed next season and played a big hand in them blowing the 4th pick on a RB.

We learned from our mistake with marrion barber and it worked out! Letting DeMarco walk was one of the best moves Dallas has made.
The dak situation is the exact same. With the exact same knuckle heads acting like the team will fall apart without him. It wasn't true with DeMarco it isn't true with dak.
No dak > overpaid dak

LOL. If this was Aikman/Romo you would pay them. You hate Dak, follow another team.

We have a good QB in dalton and could have another one in cam. Cam and andy competing for the starting job would be cheaper and would garner the same success.

Disagree. Dak plays elite in 4th quarters. Dak > Andy/Cam.

Qak could shut all these threads down just by winning two play-off games in the same season. That would be HUGE for Dallas since it hasn't been done since Bruce Willis and Madeline Stowe in 12 Monkeys was the No. 1 film and Mariah Carey was atop the Billboard chart!

Sure if the defense shows up in the 4th quarter, unlike the playoff losses.

You mean like how they gave up 17 to a crippled crew Philly last year, when Qak couldn't put more than 9 on the board? Or you just joking yourself?

Dak fanboys refuse to admit any of the failures are his while maintaining all the success is. Pathetic attempt to convince themselves they have an elite QB.

If Dak finally signs the 35 mil per year contract, go with Dak. If he doesn't, franchise him and trade him and go with Dalton, then draft a QB. Maybe draft another the next year. More than 35 a year is just too much.

So you want to go 4-12 like you did without Murray in 2015 versus 12-4 with the NFC Player of the Year?
Think things through. That is the reason you got Zeke by losing again.

In regard to Barber you went 11-5 in 2009 and 6-10 with him in 2010, and improved to 8-8 without him in 2011 so what was the lesson learned beside Garrett can't coach? Then, you did not come out of 8-8 3 year mediocrity until you let loose Demarco Murray in 2014. Let him go and go 4-12 in 2015.

So what the hell is the meaning of this post? What do Pro Bowl RBs that were worth more on the team than off have to do with Dak Prescott?

Sometimes you can use a losing season to reload quickly (see our 2016 draft)....unless you are the browns then 30 top 5 picks can't help you.

lol - I love how one game of your choosing defines the player, and 4 years means nothing.

So explain Zeke's rookie season...
The offensive line had been together many years, three became 1st team All Pro. Murray had them when they barely met each other.

Zeke did not break the record, Murray did.

However, no doubt, Zeke far more psysically gifted.

So you use the no. 4 overall pick in the draft 2016, had a 4-12 losing season in 2015, wasted a year of your good players careers to replace a 3rd round RB instead of a 1-3 year deal. That is the Jerry Dumbo GM Jones moves that Cowboys fans love that has not produced a Super Bowl in 25 years. Remember Demarco Murray made the Pro Bowl in Tennessee after the Eagles hoodwinked his theft from Jerry Jones. So he would not have been finished in 2015 and probably been a Pro Bowl RB in 2015 behind the Cowboys OL.

Dallas could go out and get bargain basement players, never paying any of them big money. Trade Dlaw, Cooper, Elliott, Zack Martin cost us as well. Just think pretty soon we can trade away Gallup as well. At least draft day will be fun. lol

Murray could be the reason we didn't make it to a super bowl.

That was NOT just an ordinary fumble, which yes even great and HoF players do.

I think you and I may have been through this before. So not sure it's worth it to go into the great slow detail you require.
