And Dak is a franchise QB and deserves to be paid.

Whether he’s one of the Elites and deserves highest paid is another argument.

Even most of his ardent supporters don’t necessarily believe he should be the top paid.
exactly, either the whole league is doing it wrong, or the appropriate course of action is to pay your franchise QB.

I understand it can be a subjective description much like Elite but when I watch him throwing the ball and his passes overall I don’t see him as a Prolific Passer.

You're right . Sometimes the beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

He has his moments but I just don’t place him in that Elite or Prolific Passer category with stats alone.
I don't consider many to be elite, Prescott included. Not many are. But I find him productive.

I’d agree he can be productive. I’d like to see him be more productive and efficient against the better teams.

He looked awesome in our 8 wins as our offense averaged 35 points a game. In our 8 losses only averaged 15 points a game. In 3 of those losses didn’t score a TD. That’s not all on him. But he certainly struggles against these greater defenses and teams.

I don’t expect to put up big numbers against the better teams but more than 15 points on average. Tough to win games with our defense scoring under 20 points a game.

As much as we have invested in our offense and soon to be QB he and this offense is going to need to carry us further. We cant just beat up on the lesser teams then expect to go deeper in the playoffs.

Great QB’s and offense struggle to win championships without a good defense but they can take their team to the playoffs and beyond.

The team needs to produce vs. the better teams. Heck, Prescott may have underachieved here and there, but you'd be hard pressed to find other QBs different.
It takes a village.
He will have bad games as all do, but he can't be expected to be All World. It's just unrealistic.

I invite you to take a gander at the importance of field position with regard to a defense and especially special teams. It's a wake up call.

I am just here to say that Dak is not worth $40 million or $45 million a year. Not yet anyway and I like Dak. I think he is going to be a very good qb for us. I just want this thing to get over with but then the media and us will have nothing to talk about.

Funny thing, not ha ha funny, how many start threads about Prescott and ALWAYS bring up this fictitious speculated 40 - 45 mil contract amount. Just last week an "insider" claimed that he got it from someone in the negotiations and proceeded to state contract amounts and length only to have EVERYONE who is actually involved with the negotiations deny ever saying it and the amounts and length that was reported. Yet still there are fans who have zero first hand knowledge of anything in the negotiations making absurd statements about contract amounts just to make another in a zillion Prescott threads.

I view myself as a pretty decent talent evaluator. Maybe you think I suck.. I really don't care.

Dak is a decent talent at best.

He's just not a special player. Nothing about him outside of intangibles is special.

Accuracy? Nope.

Arm Strength? Nope

Release? Nope

Footwork? Nope

Running? Not bad when he wants to.

Intangibles? Sure

For Dak to be "better" it will have to come through system.. He will need a coach, like Shannahan in San Francisco, that can just simply get guys open and make it easy for the QB.

That is how Dak "improves".

It's about like giving Alex Smith a coach like Andy Reid.. Sure it makes him a lot better but he's still Alex smith.

Yet a much younger Dak with Jason Garrett was better than Alex Smith ever was with Reid.

What a stupid comparison LMAO:lmao2:

I understand. There’s always contributing factors.

I’d just expect a #1 offense and supposedly a top 10 QB to be a bigger threat producing more points against these better teams. I don’t expect against them all but a bigger portion if we want to be considered a more serious contender.

Otherwise I’m not sure why we’ve invested so much with all of this talent on offense. I’d at least expect results to be more similar to 2018 and 2016 with a top offense and below average defense.

Maybe we’ll see a return to those years success without a 1st place schedule.

His statistics suggest he is prolific unless you want to make up your own definition.
@Diehardblues made up a definition last season for prolific then Dak blew his definition out of the water this year. There was a whole lot of "he'll never be able to...." and then Dak did it the very next year lol.

He's still sticking with it, it appears. Really sad honestly.

I can’t take credit for the “ prolific passer “ definition. It’s been used for years describing some of the greater passers. I simply used it to help describe my criticism .

There’s been some solid QB’s with many other intangible assets that weren’t prolific passers.

You aren't taking credit for it and nobody is giving you any credit at all, you just made up your own definition as I just said.

Guess he should’ve padded stats on Washington and NYG then.
Not that your response makes any sen sense but, Chiefs play Raiders and Chargers twice a year.

As was said, what a stupid comparison.

I don’t know what the hell you’re talking about. I didn't make up the term “ prolific passer”. I just said he wasn’t one.

QC era needs a stat book because he can’t think on his own and doesn’t know football well enough.

To him Dak is a great thrower.

He threw for 5k yards and 30 TDs ya know. Lol

it appears the defenders get more worked up than the haters, despite what some want to say around here lol

Thanks for rattling off a list of things I never said. I have always pointed out the fact that Dak simply isn't a Top 5 or 10 QB but you keep believing in your miracle man.

Except for he is...He is a top 10 QB.

Brees....won a Super Bowl

Rodgers....won a Super Bowl

Wentz....won a Super Bowl

Dak....ummmm

Are you serious? Wentz has a ring but he didn't win a SB. Dude can't even finish a season.

Hahahahahaha, I can't believe someone actually said this.
