I have been neutral on Dak for the most part believing we need to see what he can do under a real coaching staff to properly evaluate him but not reaching out to a new player, a weapon drafted just for him, is REALLY poor judgement.
I find it strange but maybe not unheard of.

Ah yes, then there is you...who had a meltdown last off season because Dak was *check notes* kissing a girl in a club.

Go away troll.

I never had a "meltdown" over Dak kissing anyone. I did criticize Dak for his repeated poor judgement in the offseason, along with Zeke. You know, getting into fist fights that he loses, going to clubs with Zeke where they always get into near altercations, getting his neighbor injured despite multiple warnings about his dog, and now throwing a party in the middle of a pandemic.

But you know, I guess this dude will have to become Hernandez before anyone criticizes his off the field behavior.

Dak has been mourning the death of his brother from exactly a month ago. Dak is also upset with how this new contract deal is still dragging out without getting signed. Plus, Dak officially has not signed the tag which legally could restrict him from getting in touch with any of the rookie draft picks.

as soon as dak is signed he will reach out to lamb. but we have to understand dak is going thru tough contract negotiations and even something as small as being chatty with teammates could be construed as a chink in the armor by the front office. the key is appearing to be intractable without causing animosity.

....so why is he hanging out with Zeke and throwing parties?

I have to start a thread on this rather than have it buried in another. I want to see who has a problem with this other than the reigning, defending, Likesweight Champion of the World.

CeeDee (YAC) was asked if he's heard from his new teammates on offense yet. Since, ya know, it's been a month since the draft. He said he's heard from Zeke, Cooper and Gallup but hasn't talked to Prescott. No contact from the great leader of the team to his shiny new alpha WR weapon as we approach June.

Here's the video. The 4:05 mark.

Oh I know people will rush to his defense but I won't pay any attention to that. I want to hear from those that see this as completely inexcusable from the guy wanting to be paid as the franchise QB.

Character is what you do when nobody's watching, bros.

The rookie intimidates him just like the other guy who wore 88.

Does anyone here really think Lamb is worried because Prescott hasn't contacted him? Think he hasn't been brought in on the inside of how the NFL really works?

I lmao at these leadership comments directed at Prescott because he won't take the deal some feel he should take. The sheer arrogance and audacity of that is laughable, who in the hell are you to decide what another man should do with his life?

There is one time every player is on the other players' side, when he's negotiating his deal. That's the game, getting the most they can from billionaires.

This is almost as laughable that it is the player's responsibility to keep the cap friendly. Should Prescott have gotten involved with Lawrence or Elliott or Smith or Collins negotiations?

for years the owners chanted it's just business. then one day the players got the memo.

MM didn’t reach out to Dak for a while. I don’t think Dak feels connected to the team... I think part of it is when your doing contract stuff your agent tells you to not connect to anyone you don’t want or have to.. He should have connected with him. He should be hanging with his WR and throwing to them. He can do anything he wants. He is getting a deal done but when your agent is asking for more than others that have won a SB then the owner and GM are not going to be happy. Dak and the owner should be getting along and both should realize it’s business. But maybe Dak is mad this wasn’t done last year. I am..
It takes two to make a deal. All Dak had to do is say yes, last year. There is nothing for Dak to be mad at except himself.

Every single report you’ve ever read has said Dak is a good leader.

Every teammate ever asked Both college and pro. Every journalist around the team in the know. Every coach. Even the ex players who are around the team like Aikman and Irvin and Emmitt have said Dak is a good leader for the team.

Now some people want to cling to Dak not calling one player yet after only being on the team for a month. And folks want to cling to that as some sort of sign that he is a bad leader, despite every other shred of evidence pointing to the opposite.

its comical

For some in here, Prescott purportedly snubbing CeeDee Lamb is likely much worse than a socially adept Michael Irvin stabbing teammate and offensive lineman Everett McIver in the neck with scissors (narrowly missing his carotid artery) over not getting out of the barber's chair soon enough.

Everyone gets the difference between a player under contract and not, right? Prescott is not, at this moment a Dallas Cowboy. They have the rights to his services but until he signs that tag, he is not a Dallas Cowboy.

Why in the heel would he make contact with a player he doesn't even know, and btw, he's not a Dallas Cowboy yet either.

And they didn't get Lamb for him, they took a value pick. If that pick had been a CB, should Prescott have reached out to him?
