It's been evident since 2017. Not sure why we just can't accept it after 3 years and just admit what we have in Zeke, which is still a damn fine RB.

You could take Pollard and a back in the 3rd round next year and get similar production.
The only advantage I like about using one RB the majority of the time is that opposing teams can't gameplan whether we are going to run or pass depending on who is in the backfield. I don't see any other advantage.

The Fat Cat has trouble catching the Rat..No wonder teams don't want to use high first round picks on running backs.
Many don't last long and you can draft them in latter rounds.

Trust me...…...I used to be a one back, carry the load, lead the league in rushing type guy. But not anymore. The NFL has changed with the cap and disciplinary action.

Actually relying on ONE back and giving him big money is about as dumb as it gets.

Its one obvious spot to save money and you can get great young backs in rounds 2-5. And backs can come right in and play, don't need to be groomed like other positions.

He certainly has to be very good, but league MVP is not the standard. A player can be very good and absolutely key to a team and still not be league MVP.
Point was I dont think team would cut a player who is coming off consecutive MVPs.

Besides that, he is gone.

Nothing against him (although I'm not much of a fan), but he can be replaced at a fraction of the cost, and maybe that money is the difference between keeping a guy like LVE or Gallup or watching them walk.

The only way you can justify paying a RB in this league is for top, top production...and that isnt him. I don't care what his stats may say.

I think its safe to say that Zeke only looked explosive the first year because of how good the line was. Those holes were so big no one was touching him until the 3rd level.
The Frederick of last year and Looney in 18 were a big drop from the Frederick prior to 18.

Fred got blown up a lot last year. Cant blame the guy but it was definitely a factor.

Was this top 10 all time or in the NFL now?

If all time, I understand because Emmitt Smith was not explosive. But, as a all around RB, Elliott is on pace to challenge Emmitt and that is saying a hell of a lot because Emmitt Smith by far is the best all around RB in NFL History followed by Sweetness. Run, Block, Catch, and score TDs.

Not in the top ten of current players is asinine and a list that was made up by blind, deaf, brainless zombies.

When discussing explosive backs, I usually think of three guys: McCaffery, Kamara, Barkley. I'm sure I'm missing some.

Fred wasn't as good personally, but he is an ace at calling protections and keeping the line together. The leader and helping out guys like Wililams when they get in trouble.

Yup. Having Zeke is keeping us from having a better safety or defensive end this year.

Sorry, but how are you going to measure a RB's production without stats? True, stats don't tell the whole story sometimes but if any position is stats-friendly at measuring production, it's pretty much running back above all others.

We have a perfect two back rotation in my opinion. They definitely complement each other

Yes sir it is a good one. I think you are going to see Coach Mac get these guys the ball in space. Lots of screens and short dumps. One slasher and one anvil.
