I'm a bit intrigued with Gifford, he was always around the ball during camp, has some ball-hawking skills as other posters have mentioned. Could be a good one at the Sam position. Played some Safety as well. Hope he continues to progress, if he can stay on the field there's a place for him on this defense.

Gifford has a ton of potential but sadly won't ever be able to reach it if he can't shake the Sean Lee-esque injury concerns.

Luke Gifford has displayed a world of potential in the past, although, his injury status has somewhat interfered with his progress. Nevertheless, I've still got high hopes that he'll be able to reestablish himself as soon as his health and conditioning allows. I'm hoping his opportunity to contribute returns sometime this year, whenever the staff feels he's ready. I assume he'll be given an opportunity to display his readiness in training camp.

Can he play special teams? There’s too many guys already in that position that don’t do enough on special teams.

He's a ball hawk and a go-getter. I expect him to push the LBer group to be very competitive.

It shouldn’t be that hard to outwork Smith. He is too busy being Cleareyed and selling sunglasses. Should have been benched last year.

There's a chance. His CFB career was hampered by hip injuries so his potential could be untapped. On the flipside he deals with a lot of injuries, so good chance his career never really blooms in the NFL.

I need to see more in his 2nd year. He looks to have very good potential. But need to see more.

Gifford and March could be pushed by Bernard and Kamura for roster spots. Especially if he gets any of those minor nagging injuries.

Gifford's sure can make some noise hyping the crowd up with a rally towel over on the bench.
