Hmm. I'm the only one here who used the word lowball, and I was specifically NOT referring to the first item in the poll ($35M AAV). Who thinks $35M AAV is a lowball?

That's right. But AAV and Lowball are common terms. So unless you can actually prove that it was you who canned them, I don't see the issue.

I was specifically referring to the first item. Lots of people believe that 35 AAV is a lowball offer on this board. It's reported that that deal is on the table, right now and yet, there is no pressure from many to take that deal. Instead, you just see support for the numbers to go up.

So what now? If the offer is 35 AAV for 5 years, are you saying that you think Dak should sign that deal?

Those voting for him to play on tag........careful what you ask for. Oddsmakers have us a top 5 favorite to win the Super Bowl. When you consider he has a new coach, a new toy, better D, it's not a reach at all. Now imagine getting there and Dak's a free agent ( yes I'm ware they could tag again ) we now have to try and sign AFTER Mahomes and Watson deals. What do you think $35M will look like then?

Don't even think about trading him......you don't trade a young Super Bowl QB.

My point, SIGN HIM NOW! I don't wanna take chance on his value getting any higher than $35-36M.

We have that issue either way. Dak and CAA want a three year deal. So regardless, we are going to face that situation in the short term either way you look at it.

*4 year deal

No, they have agreed to a 4 year deal if conditions are met but, they want a 3 year deal and you can bet that once the tag is up, they are going right back to 3 years. I thought we were done?

But there have been several reports that have surfaced that suggest 35 AAV with 110 Guaranteed for 5 year deal.
reports are not backed by fact.. I dont believe he would turn that down like a lot of National media saying IF those reports were true, daks and idiot..

Who thinks 35 is a lowball? I haven't seen that. Some think that if (as has been hinted at) he's asking for $45M--or an overall $37M AAV--to sign on for the fifth year, they should give it to him, but that's not the same as calling the current (reported) offer a lowball. Offering him $25-29, an option in the poll, is an obvious lowball that would be rejected out of hand.

I think Dak should do whatever he thinks is in his best interest. I also think the Cowboys made a pretty big mistake not getting an extension done last year. I also think he'll be signed by July 15, but I don't think that with a super-high degree of confidence.

So why not face it now, rather than risking the chance of him getting to the NFCCG or Super Bowl and increasing his value. Guess I'm saying, lock him now, even if it's only 3-4 years and save $$$. Honestly, if he's refusing to sign a 5-year deal now, he sure as hell not signing with an increasing market value.

Right now I pull the offer and let him play on the tag, enough is enough. I know they said they wouldn't, but never know.

I like Dak alot and I've rooted for him since I learned his mother was also sick when we drafted him.

This whole mess has let the doubt about him(and the cap) creep in my mind.
