This site is going to be unbearable this season

Every interception:. Put in Dalton!
Every fumble:. Put in Dalton!
Every incompletion: Put in Dalton!
Every throw away: Put in Dalton!
Every time Dak is on the screen:. Put in Dalton!
Every commercial: Put in Dalton!

It's going to be awful

This time when Dak falters as he has with many good defenses you can bet your bottom dollar Dalton will come in.
Why do you think they picked up a 9-year starter to have him sit on the bench when Dak is stinking it up with field goals and 3 and outs?
I don't think so!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You're the one spinning MaineBoy, not Irvin88. You're the one pushing the concept that Dak is worthless but some unnamed team out there is going to offer multiple picks for him.
If he's that bad, NOBODY is going to offer multiple draft picks for him and you know it!

You have a right to your opinion of Dak pro or con, but you can't have it both ways!
Either Dak is good enough to attract a multiple pick trade or he's not. Period.
I couldn't have said it better even if I tried.

The Cowboys screwed up royally by giving Dak the exclusive. There is no team in the NFL that is willing to pay significantly more than Jerry for Dak AND give up picks. It would have behooved Jerry to let Dak find that out on his own. At a minimum, he should have given Dak the non exclusive. More risky but effective would have been transition tagging him.

I would say the chances are zero.

It appears the Cowboys and Dak/agent are in agreement on salary and guaranteed money. They just can't agree on number of years.

What are the chances that a player would hold out because he wanted a 4 year contract and the team was offering a 5 year contract if they were otherwise in agreement on total money and guaranteed money?

The agent would have a hard time selling the player on that concept. A 4 year contract will have less guaranteed money than a 5 year contract.

The deadline is July 15th. The Cowboys won't put much effort into getting the deal done until a couple of days before the deadline.

If it happens before July it will likely be because Dak told the agent to get it done.
Bingo, you are as good as Nostradamus, for this not to happen the void must be huge.

What's so funny is these guys that say Dak is so terrible and the worst QB ever but yet want to trade him for multiple first round picks and players.
It's the American way.

Back in the Old West..

we traded beads and booze to the Indians for half the country.

For the rest we just killed them.

Know your American history.

Yeah..we good.

nope I wouldn’t, but I would start there with negotiations.., a team desperate for a QB might...
Chicago paid two firsts, a third, and a sixth for a DE....a QB is worth much more if you think he’s a franchise guy.

I can understand that. I mean, anything is possible, we've seen crazy trades. Hell, we traded multiple #1s for WRs twice. So yeah, it can happen but I'm skeptical of it as I don't see the team sticking with exclusive after this year. I would expect the team to re-tag using nonexclusive, if it came down to it. That would only demand two 1st round picks. That's the only reason I say this.

first off nothing would happen this season even if it weren't hypotheticals, hes under the tag and most rosters are set and we dont even have guarantee a season is happening. However the DC FO was mistaken in putting the exclusive tag on him, why not let the other teams early on set daks market by showing interest and what they are willing to pay, a TT or NEFT would have ben 100% smart move if you weren't intending on signing him to his demands..Show dak and his agents his true worth and if no trade is made you pay him less which also might speed daks signing a long term deal at more money then the cap at lower price..

so thats Zero for 2020

Now 2021 my plan would be what I wrote above.. NEFT or TT

I think they need to cut off talks and let it ride this season..

Silly list except the Lions possibly having any legs depending on their salary cap situation.

Jags are likely tanking for Lawrence or Fields. Why would they pay $35-40 million a season when they can benefit from a first round QB on a rookie contract.

Patriots wouldn't pay Brady top dollar so let's not joke about Belichick sanctioning $35-$40 million a season for Prescott. Good grief.

49ers wouldn't pay $10 more a season for Prescott over Jimmy G. Not worth losing a top defender for Prescott.

The Bills...well why would they want Prescott over Allen after Allen outplayed him last season and is on a rookie contract!?

Embarrassing list.

No serious coach or owner or GM would pay Dak anything more than 28-30 mil . If Jerry knows that , why pay him, anymore than the franchise tag , which is already more than what he is worth anyway .

since Dak is really lucky anyway ( romo injury , No back ups but Dak , weak division , fantastic OL and running game ) , he should have another decent year stat wise , until he faces a playoff team and folds l
