Does it not appear to merely be part of the contract dispute?
Why call a player and give the appearance that you intend to
sign with the team no matter the offer?

I don't care either way. It just seems like a predictable stance.
I guess he could call and welcome the kid into the NFL brothership,
but it will still appear as weakness toward signing a contract.

For the record, I have said several times that he should accept $2million more
than Wentz and be happy to say he's the QB of the Dallas Cowboys. I realize he'll
likely get much more than that.
