Prior to signing their contracts Goff and Wentz both had success and both are possibly in the 6-8 region.
I'm not sure how that answered the question at all.

Over the last four seasons, which is the time span that Dak has been evaluated over, who are the 6-8 QBs that have put up the numbers Dak has while also not hitting their prime?

The article compared Dak to Goff/Wentz extensively and outlines exactly why Dak is worth a large contract.

Again, you’d know that if you read the article.

ok nav let me ask you this, do you think the guy that wrote that has seen all 64 dallas / dak games more than 1 time??
Did he say he was a cowboy fan and watches all thier games?

Or is he just some guy who looks at some stats and other qbs contracts etc, then writes an article because that is what he is paid to do?

Having seen dak play all the games more than once gives me all the info I need to make up my mind about dak and what he is and is worth.
So your “EyE tEsTz” tells you all you need to know. Facts be damned.

Got it. Have a nice day.

Come on don't hide behind the article......the problem with the "Pay Dak What He Wants" supporters is that they never tend to commit to a figure.

The article says "Prescott proved that he deserves a similar deal", its slightly ambiguous as to the actual amount and he may even refer to the previous sentence which mentioned "Goff and Wentz were awarded lucrative extentions WITHOUT MANY COMPLAINTS"....the similar deal may refer to the complaints.

Go on give us a figure ….you'll find mine below.

So cut to the chase, what do you think we should pay him?

I copied and bolded it for you. Manalive, if you can't see it now, that is beyond sad.
Because that's a stretch to suggest it's an insult. Have you read some of the posts here?

Ok I seen what was bolded above I missed the second part about not being smart enough and that is insulting so my mistake. And I agree it shouldn't have been said.

He’s worth what the market dictates he’s worth.

From THE ARTICLE....

The Cowboys have repeatedly leaked elements of various offers, suggesting that they're willing to give him the second-highest average annual salary in the league while guaranteeing him something close to the $110 million Goff was given by the Rams. Jason Fitzgerald of Over the Cap ran the numbers and projected a logical contract for Prescott coming in at an average annual salary of $35.5 million with a guarantee somewhere around $90 million. (These "guarantees" aren't the real guarantees, since they're likely only partial guarantees for injury.) Essentially, he's going to get somewhere between $32 million and $36 million and have three years of his new deal guaranteed.

There, I’ve “committed” to paying him market value.

Now go ahead and tell us why he’s not worth market value.

You haven't commited at all.....are you unable to think for yourself.

If the market is Wilson, then no I wouldn't pay it, just as I wouldn't pay Dak more than Mahomes if he were to sign tomorrow.

Go on give a figure not rhetoric or theory.

While that is probably true, I think that fact is relied on too heavily in justifying bad contracts. Just because a contract will be “less bad” over time doesn’t make it a good signing in the moment.

And that’s coming from someone who would like to see us get Dak signed longer term.
then every QB contracts given out, is bad....including mahomes….

the fact that gets lost on most, its the NFL QB market.

What about me. Did you ever stop to think about that during all of this..

1. Signatures don't show up on mobile
2. Your signature answers the 6-8 QBs that have the numbers of Dak that haven't entered their prime yet? I highly doubt it.

My signature's

I agree with Spotrac's market evaluation - $33.9 for 5 years seems fair
