No, right now they’re still an 8-8 team that has a new coach who’s last 2 seasons in the league were sub .500, they lost one of their best O lineman along with their best corner and sack leader. Lots of high hopes with new additions but also a lot of question marks.

Saints
Packers

eagles? I mean they won the division
Not sure what kind of leap the Cards will make this year but they are going to be better

Id place the boys 5-8

They should be..
We should win our division this season, we are a better team than the Eagles if we play up to our potential.
We are better than Green Bay.
Tampa will go as far as what Brady has left in the tank... which might not be much.
Seattle and Dallas I think are pretty even... the Saints are better, but not by much.
49ers are the team to beat in the NFC.

Are they top 5? With Dak as QB? Hmmmm, tough one to answer. If he doesn't have a much better season than 2019 I'm thinking not.

I would have to say no but close.

Better:
Saints
GB
49ers
Seattle
Vikings

Close:
Eagles
Cowboys
Rams

Might suprise people:
Bucs
Atlanta

If we ever get the defense figured out we may he the team to beat

Guessing right now I'd say Dallas is close, especially considering the difference many of us believe the coaching change will make. Besides, the NFL is consistently and often wildly unpredictable. Before the 2019 season hit halfway who saw SF in the SB? I like our chances.

If he doesn't have it much better record-wise..

he will not get his contract nor a 2nd Tag.

:muttley:

People too often assume if you had a good year one year you will build on it..

and build on it be better the following year.

Nope.

Romo yoyo'd his whole career.

Dak is starting to do the same, too.

I'm shocked at the responses. Inconsistent defense, worst special teams, horrible kicker management, bad HC and coaching staff last year and still went 8-8.

Clearly this is a much improved team. They should have went 10-6 last year if The Clapper changes kickers before it cost them at least 2 games.

Yes the Cowboys are a top 5 NFC team.

Going into last year we were picked from 4th -7th in the conference. Most picked Egirls to win the division.

I see no reason we’d be picked to finish any higher this year.

Who would pick us ahead of SF, NO, GB, Sea or Minn. Prob not Phi. So that leaves us as best of the rest maybe.

Weren't we Top 5 in the NFC in 2018 as well?

Still, lots of people were unsatisfied especially with Dak Prescott.

Not sure if Top 5 in the NFC is a great achievement to those people.
