It’s the smart move. Many NFL teams were already doing TC at home facilities. The old travel out of town model of TC is extremely outdated. The only reason Jerry has continued to do it IMO, is he believes it broadens the fan base.

Seems a little early to conclude that, but this whole thing is about relative overreaction so there you have it.

Sorry to those of you who would make the trip to Oxnard, or live locally and attend.

The only reason I dont point the finger at Jerry for exactly what you say is that Landry held camp there also.

I suppose it allowed outdoor work without tremendous heat. Not sure of the huge advantage.

I hope they let fans go. I used to go down to SA when it was there a few years back. Would love to go again now that it is in TX And not CA.

It was a completely different era. In Landry’s era, players needed training camp to get in shape. And the thinking in those days was players needed to be isolated from family so they could “concentrate” on tc. Modern players don’t need that.

No.

No sex before games makes the players better.

Jerrah is very very old fashion.

Pity his wife/GF.

nothing to do with Jerry, its not outdated jeez they had it in Thousand oaks then Oxnard ever since the beginning ..its called tradition it made sense to get more work in a less harsh environment.. if they wanted to get them in shape they have it outside in Texas summer given most of the stadiums were outside that makes sense, now that they are inside it doesnt matter.,,

yes also great marketing having your SW Fans get s taste of their team PLUS you can play the cali teams in scrmmages and early PS Games..

absolutely make a lot of sense..add that players outside their own homes and beds with normal life and friends with distractions makes sense, focus on team building and all football..

im gald they will here but always pointing back to Jerry as some underlying issue of all thongs is old..

Jerry has 3 sbs

Early to conclude what? Teams have to start making plans for training camp soon, so it would be best if the league made a decision sooner rather than later on this matter.

It's smart to keep it in Frisco this year.
