...Or about giving Dalton every chance to compete.

Why?

Because, stout men and ankle-twisting women, the moment Jerry signs Dak via new offer or tag,
does anybody think Jerry would give the job to Dalton and leave his $30 million QB on the sidelines?

Dalton was promised a bill of goods.

Avoid this dilemma, blokes. Jerry, trade Dak while you can. Save a lot of money and rebuild the defense!I
If not you have to sit down with Dak again.

Dalton wasn't promised any such thing. Just another CZ myth that's gone viral.

He's the back up QB. They signed him because he's better than Cooper Rush.

There is nothing to "reassess". The conditions were made clear to Dalton to be a Cowboy. He is here to be Dak's backup. That is plenty cut and dry. Anyone that is saying otherwise is making it up.

The Dallas Cowboys' FO has wisely chosen to protect themselves, in the event that Dak decides to stage a holdout.

If anything is reasonably clear, it's that they really intend to resign Dak. It's all about covering their butts, just in case.

I mean it’s likely that they were just honest and told Dalton that they don’t know what’s going to happen here... because they don’t. Once Dak had the guts to play out his rookie deal, he took control of his destiny. If he wants to leave and go to a better team in two years, he can. If he wants to hold out, he can. If he wants to sign, he can. It’s his choice, not Jerry’s.
So it’s not at all far-fetched to say, “Hey we want to sign Dak and have him here for a long time but if things don’t work out this may not be a bad place to be, maybe as early as next season. Otherwise here’s 3 million on your way to the next stop.”

Dalton was not promised anything. That rumor needs to die.

Dalton's agent brought up the idea of Dalton starting.

Then someone reminded Dak Haters Dalton has 118 Career INTs and 14 Career Pick 6s.

Dalton was promised nothing....DiNucci starts if Dak fails

Everybody knows its Ben Dinuccis job to lose.
Exactly, but from here forward he is to be called...

Bennie Dee Nooch.

I'd be careful about saying anything not so nice about our friend.

Thank you for your consideration in this matter.
