Sounds like the league made this decision for all the teams.

So sorry to hear that was the decision. The Texas heat is sure to make our TC tough to handle.

Whether they're able to manage to make the best of it remains to be seen. Good luck with that.

They have an inside practice facility in Frisco on campus with Ford Stadium.

Both of the times I went to training camp in Frisco it was inside not outside.

It seats about 10-12,000 and High School games are played.

Whew, that's a relief, if that's actually to be the case. If it had been outside, God help them all. McCarthy might have melted. ;)

They might have some early morning drills on the outside practice fields but I can’t imagine most of the practices not being inside.

It won't hurt for them to sweat a bit in the morning. It's the afternoon heat that I was concerned about.

Thankfully, you'll be correct. The TC that we had in Wichita Fallas years back was the worst of all. :)

This makes sense as a cost-cutting move if owners believe there's a strong possibility that games could be played with no fans in the stands

basically: why spend the money if game-day revenue will be limited

It was a completely different era. In Landry’s era, players needed training camp to get in shape. And the thinking in those days was players needed to be isolated from family so they could “concentrate” on tc. Modern players don’t need that.
I'll go ahead and agree with you there.

Early to conclude what? Teams have to start making plans for training camp soon, so it would be best if the league made a decision sooner rather than later on this matter.

It's smart to keep it in Frisco this year.
Camp starts in about 50 days or so.

I'm not sure how far in advance they need to make arrangements, but we are talking about the fallback being their own facility.

I'm just frustrated that people seem to feel the need to cancel things way down the road in an unprecedented situation.

Years ago, when the Cowboys trained in Wichita Falls, the players, themselves, stated they were more concerned with their survival than they were in terms of getting familiar with their duties. Of course, the season that followed wasn't anything to get excited about. Hopefully, things won't be overly comparable to the TC we had that year. I'm sure some you guys remember that one! Players were going down by the numbers. 105+ every day.

This might be a silver lining.

The hot weather will toughen them up like in the 90's.

If you can't stand the heat, get out of the kitchen.
I 'm confused.

Why do they say the Rangers play well in the spring and fall but bad in the summer due to the summer heat..?

This will not hurt our training camp.?

:omg:

I know in Oxnard they utilize 2 full fields at once. Not sure if it is because of how many guys they have in camp or just need it to work so many position groups scrimmages drills all at the same time?

They have two fields outside .

Inside they utilize both sides of the field with different units.
