Bobby Belt has written a long essay debunking a lot of the claims people make about Dak Prescott to discredit him.

1. Anyone could win with Dak Prescott's supporting cast.
2. Ezekiel Elliott carries Dak Prescott.
3. Dak Prescott disappears in the clutch.
4. Dak Prescott pads his stats in garbage time.
5. Dak Prescott isn't an elite passer.
6. Dak Prescott hasn't won a Super Bowl/isn't the best QB in the league so he can't be the highest paid.
7. Dak Prescott is to blame for his receivers' drops.
8. Dak Prescott doesn't beat good teams/win big games.
9. "My eyes tell me"

Belt provides evidence to counter each of these claims. Great info regardless of how you currently feel about Dak.

2016 13-3
2017 9-7
2018 10-6
2019 8-8

Tell me bud is it getting better with Dak or worse????

P.S. Now take out your excuse book and blame everyone but Dak.....HF
now tell me bud, is coaching getting better or worse...oh wait, the craapy coaching is gone. it seems like the longer he was under the coaching staff, the harder it became for him to over come their incompetence.

get a clue......

That's a team stat. It doesn't apply to one player. Even QB's.

Just like 13-3 doesn't apply to Dak in 2016.
Or 10-6 or 9-7. I don't really think everybody that says they don't like Dak really can't stand him. They just like to get a rise out of the board members that are all in on the Dallas Cowboys.

I dont think #4 is all that great, but I'll take my chances with him and the new offense because the alternative is much worse.

He will be the highest paid player in the league when he signs his deal because of timing.

I can see the guy completely flopping, and I can also see him having the team in 2-3 Super Bowls over a four year deal.

If the latter is the case, back the truck up for him....if the former, we need to cut bait sooner than later.

Still having a hard time w the short contract being not a win/win for the team.

The Dak hate is perplexing. You might think he is not good enough or he is inconsistent. That’s fine. The guy is not a bad player. No even close. He’s not Mahomes but he is a good QB.
I think most people would agree with you but get labeled haters when they express those reservations you mention or concern about the economics. For some it’s “all in” or “hater.” Complexity is intimidating.

Not pro or anti Dak but last year's talent should have finished better than 8-8 and made the playoffs..(Though I am willing to give it a year or two more now that the Clap is gone).

There's a clear and huge difference between being critical and using every opportunity to take a dump on Prescott.

Statement 1 and statement 2 really don't have anything to do with each other.

Well look at Mr. Nuance go. You know what’s complex - sarcasm. Since you seem sophisticated and not among the hoi polloi I will break it down for you. Rather than using all in or hater to label Dak opinions why don’t we just call it binary. There is no gray with Dak except for the very small minority that like him as a player but worry about the potential “economics” as you like to say. Count me in that category. Enjoy the afternoon tea.

He disappeared against the Eagles which was a pretty clutch situation and then padded his stats against the Commanders. lol That 'debunks' #3 and #4.

I was intending to agree with you. I’m just tired of the polarization. If I added to it, I apologize.
