Devin Smith running fly patterns all day long!
Really what was the excuse for not suiting that guy up more last year?

Did he not play special teams? How much more could he have been than who they had?

It'll mostly be 11 personnel, so primarily Jarwin.

Otherwise, it will be a speed player. I wouldn't sleep on JVJ.
Agreed totally. Either jar win or maybe they throw pollard out there too. A lot of options

Noah Brown has access to the same photos of Jerry that Crawford does, so he has to be the favorite....

I dont know that Wilson will be fully healthy. I dont think he sticks.

A guy like Aaron Parker or Kendrick Rogers could surprise....and honestly that's what I'm rooting for.

I want as much roster turnover as possible.

The Garrett stench has to go, even if it's at that level, it helps.

Actually he had one target with zero catches in a game where noone had more than 50 yards receiving. The Saints played a great game that day, Cooper was 5 for 8 and Cobb was 3 for 6.

I wouldn't call 0 for 1 getting erased.
I would call it getting erased if you are the number two. But I believe he is one hell of a number 4 option. I expect big mike to scheme at least a few huge plays for him this season.

He was under used last year

No excuse to not have him on the field IMO. The catch-all blame is always Garrett here and the buck stops with him - but Amari Cooper throwing Sanjay Lal under the bus makes Sanjay my new suspect.

Totally agree. Gallup was out of the lineup for that game and the Saints defense was terrific that day. Going forward I really like Smith in that role too.

Who is most likely to line up with Cooper, Gallup amd Lamb in four wide sets. Will it be one of Smith, Wilson, or Brown. Could it be Jarwin? Pollard?
i’d like to see Pollard! he’s so versatile you can motion him on sweeps push to double backs with Elliot and run some confusing things at them.

The problem is you dont have a QB who can read more then one route.

If Witten doesnt fumble in that game him and Garrett are probably both still here. Things happen by very narrow margins at times.

It’s be nice to have a Beasley type player again, I think Dak did his best when Dez was out of the game and Beasley was the go to....not sure if that is just getting rid of the ball fast and also not sure it’s practical to have a 100 catch position slot WR with Lamb and Cooper. Maybe 2 WR set is the way to go bring in a lot of TEs and RBs, maybe Pollard can be that home run player, the TEs and 4th WR will prob compete with Pollard and the FB for playing time

Normally I'd say four-wide is a bit too much of a tell, but it's not like Jarwin's going to be blocking anyway. He can function as a big slot or you can send Smith on a nine route.

4 WR set hmmm unless we're playing a dog defense/team running this formation will be a bloodbath for our passing game!!!

The whole team did suck, but for Smith's part he couldn't beat Apple one on one. They could roll coverage to Cooper and Cobb without getting beat for it. Smith's inability to generate any offense with a good matchup was a big reason why our offense was couldnt get going

Seems you are signaling out Smith unfairly compared to the rest of the team which no player did anything at all.

Isn't Devin Smith like a 4.45 guy. That's fast but not 4.3 fast where he is just going to burn his guy on pure speed.

Brown was a Garrett favorite. He'll have to legitimately show WR skills to earn a roster spot going forward. Not likely.

I think you will see different guys. But when its a WR it will be Devon Smith unless he gets injured again. Clearly the best of the rest by far in my opinion.

That 4 WR set with Cooper, Smith, Lamb, Gallup should be next to unstoppable. I expect several long TD's for Smith this year against single coverage.

Which CB? Smith only got significant reps in two games and he had 113 yards receiving, including a 51 yard TD.

Getting shut down by the great corners is common place every week. It should be noted that the entire Cowboys WR 's got shut out that game.

Devin lit up the preseason and produced overall in the games he played during the regular season. .
